I think the Avs will be fine, especially with Nichuskin back and Landeskog potentially for the playoffs. The defense is already excellent, they had a dominant run to the cup despite Kuemper being crap in the playoffs so it's not a major concern for now. I'm getting frustrated that Dallas is being too cheap to make a meaningful add to the blueline, I think it could bite them in the ass.

The West will be a blood bath so unless the finalist is so beaten up by the time they reach the finals, I can't see an Eastern team winning it.
I think Tanev was a meaningful add, he’s an elite defensive defenceman and I think a great fit with a young offensive defender like Harley.

I forgot Nuke was coming back for the Avs too. Yeah, that’s one deep team. Let’s see how Mittelstadt does with more pressure and opportunity.

Oilers need defense. They have McDavid, Drasaitl, and RNH at center. Yet they give up their 1st for a 34 year old center with a bad playoff performance record.

I agree but their depth scoring is weak as well after top 4 imo. Just would have used a first on acquiring a defenseman before using in on a foward.

Is it possible Sens are already shipping Chychrun out lol? They gave up a 1st rounder for him. Coyotes laughing so hard.

Avs will add a defenseman for sure. I think they got some decent cap space with the Byram trade and that will allow them to add another piece.

By meaningful I meant like a good top 3 dman. Tanev is definitely a useful addition and it makes sense that they got him, but there's still a hole there IMO, especially with Suter getting killed last playoff. The issue is that I don't really see a good skating top 4 RHD to address this major need, so Tanev is the best bet for now even though he doesn't completely resolve the issue.

let's be honest - nobody wants Allen at this point, the goaltending needs have settled down, should have moved him a long time ago when teams were in dire needs because of injuries. This stupid 3 goalie system was awful from the start, no way to get a rhythm and increase your trade value. Savard? Who really is going to give up anything past a late 2nd for him? Why even trade him at this point. So what other chips do we even have? Just moves for late round picks, not much more. I don't expect much to happen

They should then waive the mother-f***er. And let the two others ride this out till the end to give them more games and gain more experience. Riding on 3 goalies for a whole year has had to be one of the stupidiest crap I have ever seen.

They did this so they could display Allen to be traded but now he has become terrible and nobody wants him and you wasted a year of Primeau's development.

$144k is what they have left on the LTIR expended cap space...
Don t trust the summary : giirdano and Timmins are on IR no LTIR so they carry a 25 man roster. They save 1.5 sending Jobes and Lagesson down. Then they can always send Mcmann or reaves down and save another 1.7m

Oilers need people to run the clock when McDavid isn't on the ice. Henrique can do that and he's a center able to play wing.
It's a bandaid, yes, but the TDL isn't the time for the Oilers to fix the major flaw on their roster.

Just gonna have to post every page that the Habs are unlikely to do much, if anything.

Anyone having great expectations hasn't been paying attention.
There's wild speculation about Savard moving. He either moves by Friday or in the offseason. Then a bum like Evans may be interesting for a contender. Jake Allen's name has been floating out there for months.
