Let's do a other Dach/Newhook style trade.
Here are the potential targets i would like.

Jesper Fast
Kent Jonhson
Evangelista
Holzt
Kakko
Foerster
Wright
Byfield
Batherson

Pieces available;
2024 first pick (between #5 to #10)
CGY first pick
2025 first pick
Defense on the trade block : Struble, Harris, Barron, Engstrom, Trudeau, Matheson, Savard
Fowards : RHP, Evans, Monahan, Ylonen, Kidney, Heinemen, Farrell, Dvorak
G : Primeau - Dobes - Allen

a good package would be like
Matheson + Farrell + #7 2024 + Primeau
or
Struble + CGY first + RHP + Barron

Do you guys think Tbay will trade Stamkos at the TDL? If so, it will affect the the market big time.

No, he has a full NMC, and there's no way Stamkos waives that. Plus, none of the top teams can add that much cap. TB would have to retain half, which just takes up their cap space. It makes no sense. He's their captain, has played there his entire career and is still close to ppg, although he's -20.

Playing like shit isn't quitting on the team. If he asks for a trade in LA, then he quits on a 3rd team. Because the reason he quit on Columbus and Winnipeg is because he asked to be traded from both teams.
Dubois playing like shit because he's mailing it in. If he's doing this in Montreal now it would a major shitstorm in the city. Even if he was still in Winnipeg.

Agreed about if he was playing like shit in Montreal, it would be 1000 times more magnified. And he had stints where he played like shit in Winnipeg.

But I don't qualify him playing like shit in LA so far as him quitting on a third team as you initially alluded to. The reason it's labelled like he quit on Columbus and on Winnipeg is because he asked for a trade to get out of there.

Admittedly I'm nowhere as deep in the draft as last year on the same date.
But when I look at McKenzie's mid-season rankings past #27, I have a hard time getting excited vs last year.
I think the contenders will absolutely look into spending their 1st if it gives them better odds this spring, it's that kind of year imo.
We might have to trade up (e.g. Monahan's pick 30 + Harris for pick 25 or wtv) to make it worth something tho.

Dallas have bring some high grade person for that game

Can we keep Rich Peverley in MTL :D
I'm thinking

Dallas is in on Kovacevic and Monahan, but mostly the first. Maybe Savard, but they would need capspace gymnastic for him.
NJD ? I guess Monahan again, I'm not sure what they'd need. A goaltender, but is Allen an upgrade on the things they have ? Not really. Could be defensive depth or wing depth too (Armia, Pearson)
San josé?
Tampa is clearly looking at Allen. Could also be looking at Pearson or Kovo.
TO is in on all three big fishe, maybe Savard too and lesser pieces, they need it all.
Vancouver in on Monahan for sure nothing else should interest them much, maybe Evans, maybe Matheson, but I doubt it.
Vegas ? No idea. Probably depth like Evans, Armia, Pearson.
WPG is also clearly in on Monahan. Bidding war coming up.

Clearly a fit for Kovacevic, they don’t have a lot of cap space and they need depth on the 3rd pair. I dream that they are interested in Matherson and they are ready to put Bourque in the deal but it won't happen

New Jersey
Brodeur played and coach Jake Allen so I could see a fit

Tampa
Kovacevic could make sense low cap hit guy and they need depth on defence

Toronto
David Savard is exactly what they need

Winnipeg
That’s the best fit for Monahan

Marco D’Amico saying on 690’s pre-game show, that these scouts are there for both teams as likely sellers at the deadline:

Probable targets are Chychryn and Monahan. Other than those, he thinks Savard might be in play given the paucity of RDs on the market.

Difficult to extrapolate much from scouting attendance other than putting any weight on what D’Amico is speculating.

An other point to be added though It’s that there is the best prospect game in Moncton tomorrow so going to watch the game in MTL before make sense for most of those teams

Hugues need to find a center vs one of our Dman. Evans is playing too much. monahan is maybe on his way out. I mean. We need depth at this position. Even if we rebuilding. Evans is just playing too much. Im sure there is a team with depth at center who need dman

I would like to grab Ty Dellandrea in a trade with Dallas. He’s a player I always like and he seem to be the 13th forward in Dallas

I can see Boston being interested in Monahan. I would ask for a future first, 2026?
