Would a 4 year deal take him right to UFA or no? If yes then I'd rather go 3 years instead but if he'd still be RFA after 4 years then yeah I'd be ok with the 4 year deal.

Jan Mysak would make sense and he's the type of player that Drury seem to likeThe article mentions the Rangers would be looking for a young C. How about Jake Evans & Cam Hillis for Lundqvist

So it seems like a 4 year extension would take him right to UFA so the Habs would likely prefer it be a 3 year deal instead or at least I'd hope so.

I haven't checked the CBA, but it sounds like because Dach got injured in the lead up to the WJC and he wasn't on Chicago's roster, Dach's 2020-2021 season doesn't account as part of the 27 or 7 seasons UFA eligibility rule. So he would be a RFA after that deal ends.
I'm open with trading both but I would keep Kidney before Mysak. That being said, I think Mysak fit more with what the Rangers want.I don't follow the Habs prospects very closely but between Mysak and Kidney which player would you guys who are more familiar with both rather keep if one needed to go in a Lundkvist trade?
Thanks.. Just don't trade Beck like was brought up earlier. That guy looks like he's gonna be a pretty good player plus if they moved him it would probably greatly upset that Habs scout who would've pounded the table for Beck at pick 26. Luckily for that scout the Habs got him @ pick 33 instead.I'm open with trading both but I would keep Kidney before Mysak. That being said, I think Mysak fit more with what the Rangers want.
Yet he's only ranked the 10th best prospect on these boards!Thanks.. Just don't trade Beck like was brought up earlier. So what. I still wouldn't trade Beck and hopefully many more on this board agree with me.Yet he's only ranked the 10th best prospect on these boards!![]()
You would've also given up Florida's 2023 1st plus Struble or Norlinder for him so maybe you might also overrate him a bit.Feels like Lundkvist is being underrated here…. I would do Kidney or Mysak for Lundkvist in a heartbeat.
Yeah, he was highly regarded just a few months ago. It’a funny how quickly things change. You would've also given up Florida's 2023 1st plus Struble or Norlinder for him so maybe you might also overrate him a bit.![]()
you wouldn't trade what would be our best D prospect behind Guehl, for a 8th/9th C prospect? Is that you Bergy? So what. I still wouldn't trade Beck and hopefully many more on this board agree with me.
It’s nuts. People are valuing potential middle 6 players, which we have a ton of, over a top 4 PP QB RHD that is ready for NHL time NOW and would fit our D squad like a glove immediately. Is this real life?you wouldn't trade what would be our best D prospect behind Guehl, for a 8th/9th C prospect? Is that you Bergy?

Which he doesn't currently seem to be. If he was that he'd be getting much more playing time with the NYR and likely wouldn't be seeking to move on for a better NHL opportunity. If you had said that he was a "potential" top 4 PP QB RHD then I'd agree but he doesn't seem to be there yet and may never be.It’s nuts. Kidney has the higher ceiling, but I think he's the riskier of the two. He's very slender which makes me wonder if he can gain the necessary strength/weight to be effective at the NHL level. He has the better offensive game of the two. Could end up being a middle 6 forward if he can handle the physicality of the NHL.I don't follow the Habs prospects very closely but between Mysak and Kidney which player would you guys who are more familiar with both rather keep if one needed to go in a Lundkvist trade?
