Yeah I'm not paying anything big for Kuzmenko seeing as how for the nucks it would be a cap dump.
Wow his stats over the last 3 seasons are a lot better than I realized. Still remember wanting to draft him in that 13 draft very badly. That might be something worth looking at.1st + AlJo for Buchnevich.
I’d love this. Buch is very good and not too old.1st + AlJo for Buchnevich.
1st + AlJo for Buchnevich.
There’s no chance a 1st would do it. Johansson wouldn’t be good enough of a prospect either. I would do Berggren + Wallinder + 1st for Buchnevich and then try and extend him around 7-7.5 for 5-6 years.I don't want to lose AlJo, personally. I think he's going to be a terrific #4/5/6 guy.
Buchnasty is a guy I'd be after, though.
Is a former blue? Yes.
Has elite celly game? Yes.
Can put biscuit in the basket? Yes.
Can help others put the biscuit in the basket? Yes.
Try for just the 1st, and work from there.
People really need to be able to part with things of value if they want a good player coming back.I don't want to lose AlJo, personally. I think he's going to be a terrific #4/5/6 guy.

I think people here overvalue a lot of our prospects. Buchnevich is like a rich man’s version of Kasper’s best case scenario. He is a big, strong, PPG 2 way forward in his prime who can drive play from the wing. There would be a bidding war for him if he becomes available. That is a slight overpay to me. Not far off in value but I'd be hesitant to give up 2 top 5 prospects from our pool for the guy.
Maybe Johansson/Wallinder, Soderblom/Hanas and a 1st.
Berggren is someone I would hold out for another trade. And apparently, he's been playing like more of a prick on the ice since being back in Grand Rapids. Winged Wheel podcast was talking about how he was causing trouble, throwing hits, taking whacks at Senators players, and trash talking the whole time. Basically, the opposite of what he does in the NHL. I'm interested to see if he'll start playing that way next time he comes up.
So you'd be content with a husso/lyon tandem?I think people here overvalue a lot of our prospects. Buchnevich is like a rich man’s version of Kasper’s best case scenario. At some point we have to trade some of these prospects if we want to win. Danielson/Kasper/Edvinsson/ASP will all need spots in the next 2-3 years. There is literally no space for Berggren, Wallinder and Johansson. The team is playing well. The time is now to capitalize on it and get some potential core players from these prospects
My dream TDL would be:
Hanifin for Maatta, Johansson, 2025 1st
Buchnevich for Berggren, Wallinder, 2024 2nd (1st if Detroit makes ECF) , 2025 2nd
Entering the playoffs with Buch and Hanifin added to this team makes us a legit threat, and both are players that can be part of this core moving forward.
Its real.
Zadorov seems to be on the move again?
If it's off ice issues then I'd probably stay away and Yzerman probably would too. But if it's locker room, I could deal with it for his physicality and brute force nature.
If you include him with the recent playstyle of petry and chiarot (both are just shoving dudes into the ice and punishing anyone getting too close), I think we could have a real tough to play against defense. I don't hate it. He plays LD RD so we could put him on either side.
IDK, I am just looking at his physical play for the past few seasons and I know that is something we need. Especially with playoffs and he does have that experience too.
Just seems like an yzerman move for some reason. Get bigger and tougher on the defense. Our offense has been pretty good with our forwards, so maybe getting rid of a smaller defenseman in ghost (UFA) for a bigger guy that is suited well for playoffs in zadorov (UFA) kind of works for both teams.Hard pass.
Kuzmenko and now Zadorov. Do Russians just hate Vancouver?

This just appears to be a list of players that other players dislike.Posting here because of the recent Zegras talk... from an Athletic survey of active players:

I mean, I originally wanted ghost traded by thanksgiving to bring up edvinsson and thought we could have gotten a 1st out of it, or at least a 2nd+.
If Tkachuk and Robertson weren’t on there that might mean something.Posting here because of the recent Zegras talk... from an Athletic survey of active players:

But if it's lockerroom or off ice issues then it's NOT an Yzerman move. He doesn't deal with cancers on the team.
Are you comfortable extending a then 30 year old Buchnevich for, let's say, 7 years and a cap hit of 8+ million?I don't want to lose AlJo, personally. I think he's going to be a terrific #4/5/6 guy.

Buch is better than DBC and we gave him 7.8. I wouldn’t do 7 years, but I’d give Buch 7-8M on a 5 year deal. Are you comfortable extending a then 30 year old Buchnevich for, let's say, 7 years and a cap hit of 8+ million?
And if not: Why are we giving up futures to acquire a player solely for this year and next where we simply aren't a contending team?
I'd argue to give them just a 4th. We shouldn't give them more after they made the mistake of getting him in the first place. That's on them.Agree. I want Zadorov, but I don't see Stevie making the move.
Low risk move considering his contract expires this season. I wouldn't give the Canucks any more than what they acquired him for (3rd and 5th)
I must not watch a lot of STL games because I just don't see it lol. Will start tuning in to theirs more to watch him go.Buch is better than DBC and we gave him 7.8. I wouldn’t do 7 years, but I’d give Buch 7-8M on a 5 year deal.
Also, adding both Hanifin and Buch, with the development of Seider and Edvinsson (not to mention Kasper/Danielson/ASP), turns this team into a contender. That’s a top pairing dman and a 2 way PPG 1st line forward.
I’m not saying it’ll happen, but doing this would be moving the contending window up a few years. I wouldn’t be opposed to it. I also think Buch’s game will last, similar to Hossa.
