Thinking Chevy is trying to get JVR, but he’ll end up in Vegas.

Chevy will do something underwhelming like Picking up Mantha with retention for a middling pick or Athanasiou.

If big Stan gets dealt somewhere then Chevy will add someone like Bortuzzo to replace the depth.

id say mantha with retention would be a solid pick up. idk how much the caps would retain on him though. he'd also be there final retention spot.

He isn't a terrible defenseman. Sometimes when a season goes sidewise fanbases need scape goats. Last season some around here were calling Morrissey a terrible defenseman that wasn't worth his salary.

Yeah it makes me laugh. A player can be great for years but then he struggles a bit and is terrible. You really don't know what is driving individual performance of a player.

Forbort used to get absolutely ripped here but the Bruins seem to love him and he's doing pretty alright - averaging 18-19 mins a night

They would have to retain. Earlier reports were they were willing to retain $1 - $1.5 M. Not sure if that has changed?

I’d hope Myers has us on his NTC but somehow I think he would allow it.

Stan has more value to idiot GMs than Greenway, I’d take him for future considerations though.
