I agree with many others: I have a feeling Boeser will end up being a Jet. He always felt like a Chevy kind of guy - back at the draft and it still feels like it today. Depending on the return, it might be a pretty good idea as well as he kind of only has room to go up with a change of scenery honestly. It must have been tough in VAN over the last 2 seasons, for any player.


JVR: I'm in the camp that isn't AT ALL interested and I wonder why many people here are interested. I know we're talkin like maybe a 4th at best for him but I just don't see him giving us anything honestly.

I'm really not sure why people are against JVR. If he prevents you from doing a bigger deal (someone with term, younger, better) then of course don't do it, but there's no doubt that he'd be the best of our bottom 6 if we got him.

I think it's more that he's long been bit of a work-shy floater, has all of 9 goals and 23 points this year, and is now seen as a damp squib / consolation prize, especially if he goes for anything more than a 3rd, rather than the Meiers etc. that we were said (wrongly or rightly) to be hard in on.

I'm not a big JVR fan but as a bottom 6 scoring upgrade for very little sure why not at this point, given the difference I expect him (or anyone really) to make.

That Schmaltz deal would require a 1st+ with that much retention (it’s long term), and both Kuhlman and Appleton aren’t really useful to throw in since Arizona wouldn’t place any value on them.

I’ll preface this by saying it’s probably too complex to happen, but how was the relationship between Bowness and Klingberg in Dallas?

Would there be an appetite to swap out Pionk with Klingberg on the part of the Jets? Maybe something larger with Stanley also going to the Ducks and Vatrano to the Jets?

Just spitballing with some players not speculated to the Jets.

As bad as Pionk has played, the Jets probably love him too much to move him in season.
