I mean he scored 15 points in 57 games from Tampas 4th line. That is better than any of our fourth lines.

The prior year when on Detroit's third line he put up 13 goals a s paced over 30 points. That is pretty decent third line production when you factor in his defense. I'm actually a bit happier after doing some research.

I hope Chevy isn't done, but not sure why everyone is complaining as he is a clear upgrade on our bottom 6. From what I've read he has a reputation as being a smart player, who can play with better players as he maintains his role in a system well.

I don't see this happening, but it does get me asking the question...

Is a player like PLD worth more at the trade deadline or in the summer?

If you believe he only wants to sign with MTL then he is worth more now as a contender would be squeezing out 2 playoff runs with him. If he was open to signing in other places you might have a better shot of getting a good return in the summer.

Wonder if they have a clearer handle on a Perfetti return plus likely 2023-4 roster and if that's informing the moves to date, avoiding the pricier pure rentals.

I agree. This unchecks all the boxes. Im perplexed.

Avoid pure rental - uncheck
Dont want to needlessly waste picks -uncheck (waiver worthy player)
Add scoring to bottom 6 -unckeck

The only thing this checks is the jets doing "something"

If your third line when all are healthy is him Lowry Nino then we’ve improved quite a bit and added scoring depth to bottom six.

He brings some experienced depth if nothing else - for a 4th (what's that worth?).
Looks like Chevy / Bones intend to stick to the defensive fundamentals on the 3rd - with a bit more scoring potential.
If Perfetti can get back in the lineup for PO's, things will shift again and a little more additional offense should slip down to the 3rd.
