These deadline prices have me thinking maybe that off-season deal is the move. Maybe use the 2nds we have in pocket to stock up a bit, but I don't know how much that's gonna get at this rate lol

I fondly remember getting Jochen Hecht for some seconds or Lydman for a third.

What gets wilder is discussing the trade possibilities goes from the thought of annual summer pricing to many defaulting to deadline cost so it seems every conversation starts with asking for a first round pick.

I am less worried about Parayko's contract than many people are.

It is the defensive version of the Okposo deal and the Sabres worked through that.

I would prefer Ekholm because his deal is shorter. But, Chychrun, Ekholm, and Parayko are all the top 4 D moves that make sense depending on the trade package for me.

Trying to clear cap for a move seems likely, McGinn is a decent 4th line player defensively but that cap hit sucks for what he provides.

Rosen doesn't strike me as a Poille or Trotz kind of player. Those 2 definitely have a type.
