Joker, 1st, Rosen for Parayko?

For a soon-to-be 30 year old defenseman that has 7 years at $6.5M remaining (after this season)?

St Louis should be paying us to take him.

Personally I’d rather we upgraded with two defensemen that are above average and make entering the zone or sitting in front of net an unpleasant experience for opponents. I’m not sure we need to get a Chychrun when we could spend that money (or a bit more) on two players.

I am not a huge fan of the Parayko idea, but TBH I haven't watched him much so I am probably wrong.

No on Parayko. Again, dude hasn’t been good in several years.

I mean if you don't like the contract and don't want to acquire it, that's fine. It's ugly and I don't think I'd want to acquire it either. But to say this it's blatantly untrue

I am less worried about Parayko's contract than many people are.

It is the defensive version of the Okposo deal and the Sabres worked through that.

I would prefer Ekholm because his deal is shorter. But, Chychrun, Ekholm, and Parayko are all the top 4 D moves that make sense depending on the trade package for me.

They were around the cap for portions of Okposo's tenure in Buffalo.

The contract is less than ideal. It is a showstopper for some people. But, it is not for me.

Would've liked that Bloom trade for Puljujärvi.

I'd rather have Bloom in the pipeline and Peterka in the lineup.

We have way too many people praying this team bottoms out so they can say "I told you so" on a message board rather than just cheering for a team of kids who play exciting ass hockey and the two best individual player seasons we've seen in 30 years in the most exciting season in 13 years.

Can't even imagine what it's like to be around them IRL.

I sincerely doubt thats the case. I think its more... we're right there and a couple adds could get us into the playoffs. The cupboard is stocked. It's been 12 years.... Lets try it.
