How close is D-Petey to playing for us? I know there was a report that he would be headed to Abby relatively soon but will he need a year or two there before he's ready to crack our lineup or is he closer than that?

It’s impossible to say until we see him in Abbotsford.

He’s a good prospect but even good prospects are more likely to bust than make it.

But it would be absolutely shocking if he was on the team next year.

Vegas is a bit of an outlier, their nigh-super natural ability to make deals happen is truly awesome.

We inked Pete, Hughes and Demko still got their time to go, and we have some good prospects lined up. This show is just getting started.

My theory is they were never going to part with what was necessary to get him at the tdl. But they did want to make sure he knows how much they wanted him…just to put it in mind for this summer.

I question his availability and price tag, but Vatrano has been good at scoring on the PP this season.

With that said he's scoring on the PP at a much higher rate than in the rest of his career so probably not sustainable.
