it will all come down to the 4 games we have vs CGY
so Tuesday is pretty much a must win, and will most likely determine if we're making the playoffs or not
Disagree of the 4 but agree on Tuesdays game. Right now, the Flames are in 4th with a 6 pt lead, which with only roughly 20 games left is a very steep climb. That last WC spot will come down to Kings, Blues or Preds. THe Preds and Blues both playing tonight. So things could shift either way for the Kings.
I think for the Kings it will come down to their next 2 weeks or so , mid March. They play Wild, Flames, Leafs, Canucks, Preds, Caps, Blues and Yotes. The Blues have a more favorable schedule, thru end of March, 7 of those games are Avs, Yotes and Canucks. The Preds next 2 weeks aren't easy but their next 5 games are a bit more attainable than the Kings. Oilers now, Sabres , Habs, Hawks and Ducks.
SO for the Kings, it means every game is a must win and that's a lot of pressure. And they'll have to play a lot better than they did yesterday. Quick was good but the team ni front of him not so much . Props to them for playing better in the 3rd and getting the W. But beating a struggling Ducks team that can't score with Bernier is not the same as facing the Wild, Flames and Leafs this week. They were terrible in the first period and just okay in the 2nd, again vs a weak team. And 12 giveaways thru 2 periods is awful and that will bite them if they don't clean that up.
Sharp - I wouldn't do it, he's had 2 concussions this year and it's starting to show. ANd given other teams are interested, DL might have to overpay. I can't see Sharp being a game changer or difference maker, not in Sutter's system , which isn't the easiest to learn when you do have a full season. But I guess we'll find out by Wens...
