No way Kings are now looking for another goalie. That was simply contingency by DL in case Quick failed.

If it was just eklund mayor even kypper i would agree However LeBrun doesn't just speak crap to hear his voice He is pretty dead on with the kings He is one of the few that's almost always right when he says things about us.

it will all come down to the 4 games we have vs CGY

so Tuesday is pretty much a must win, and will most likely determine if we're making the playoffs or not

Every game is important from here on out. Included in the next 7 games are games against Calgary, Nashville, and St.Louis, all 3 in the wild card mix, and directly ahead of the Kings. Two games against Minnesota and Washington, the top 2 teams in the league. Toronto in there too. Then a game against Vancouver that the Kings have to get 2 points in. It's these games before the last 3 against Calgary.

The most important game is tomorrow night, in Minnesota, where the Wild have one of the best records in the league. The Kings need at least a point. They almost can't lose any more games in regulation.

Guys, beware of the Eklund site. The malware peeps have put a thingy there which could potentially lock your computer (if you don't know what you're doing!). Clearly, they're trying to exploit the NHL TDL.....

If your CPU encounters this, just open the "task manager" and start closing browser windows (different thingies of Google, et. al.). Eventually, you'll hit the one associated with the malware exploiters. Problem solved!

Again, the Kings would only be looking for a goalie in case Quick failed or wasn't ready before the deadline. No chance in hell they are still looking for one.

Maybe Budja wants to start? Makes sense he would want to continue a great season He won't do that here. If we do trade him i would want someone just as experienced to replace him as a backup to Quick

Kings scouting the Stars again today. Hoven said they are looking at Sharp. Aging injury prone winger? Sounds like Dean's type of guy.

Spoiler alert: it's often reported Kings are on Miller's list. I have to run out now, but a link should be easy to find.

Are you REALLY trying to convince me we'd benefit from Girardi, now that we've sorted out our defense to be mobile puck-movers?

Just to remind everyone Miller wants to stay on the west coast. His wife is an actress.

Makes perfect sense,Dean knows Quick is coming back from a injury that sat Quick for 4 1/2 months or so. If Quick re juries it and the Kings are in a playoff position, they need a back up.

Only way Lombardi would be looking at a goaltender is to trade Gaborik or Brown. Miller, Bishop etc. are contracts these teams are looking to get rid of and while they don't have a desperate desire to do so, the goalie market is ****** right now. Who else is looking for a tender? Calgary maybe?

Besides, both of those guys have huge cap hits, money needs to go the other way. If we trade for a goalie, the cost wont be Muzzin or Martinez, unless Lombardi is a moron.

Trading for Miller makes sense if it's part of a package. Since the Kings are one of the few teams on his list his individual value is low. I would like a deal like Hanson and Miller for 2nd round pick.

Not a chance and last time I checked Budaj was still here. Kings have too many other immediate problems to worry about before planning for a potential injury to Quick.

I have to feel like that was old info. It makes ZERO sense to go this far without a goalie trade, THEN get Quick back instead of shutting him down for the year, THEN make a trade for a relatively-impact goalie (at least alone...if it's for Bishop AND Drouin....;) )

FWIW

Also still linked to Arizona, so.

I'd say get Hanzal and move Dowd to wing but he's not great on the boards either, so shrug. No clue what DL is thinking, all I know is it's a mess.

Sharp is ok but I'm not sure worth the expense. Seems like the kind of move everyone is hoping to stay away from.

Fits DL tho. Maybe he is driving up the Price for San Jose.

Ugh, why? What a slap in the face to Budaj if it goes down.

I'm gonna hate this move unless it involves Gaborik moving.

Disagree of the 4 but agree on Tuesdays game. Right now, the Flames are in 4th with a 6 pt lead, which with only roughly 20 games left is a very steep climb. That last WC spot will come down to Kings, Blues or Preds. THe Preds and Blues both playing tonight. So things could shift either way for the Kings.

I think for the Kings it will come down to their next 2 weeks or so , mid March. They play Wild, Flames, Leafs, Canucks, Preds, Caps, Blues and Yotes. The Blues have a more favorable schedule, thru end of March, 7 of those games are Avs, Yotes and Canucks. The Preds next 2 weeks aren't easy but their next 5 games are a bit more attainable than the Kings. Oilers now, Sabres , Habs, Hawks and Ducks.

SO for the Kings, it means every game is a must win and that's a lot of pressure. And they'll have to play a lot better than they did yesterday. Quick was good but the team ni front of him not so much . Props to them for playing better in the 3rd and getting the W. But beating a struggling Ducks team that can't score with Bernier is not the same as facing the Wild, Flames and Leafs this week. They were terrible in the first period and just okay in the 2nd, again vs a weak team. And 12 giveaways thru 2 periods is awful and that will bite them if they don't clean that up.

Sharp - I wouldn't do it, he's had 2 concussions this year and it's starting to show. ANd given other teams are interested, DL might have to overpay. I can't see Sharp being a game changer or difference maker, not in Sutter's system , which isn't the easiest to learn when you do have a full season. But I guess we'll find out by Wens...

So if Quick is gonna start most of the remaining 21 games, Budaj is more than capable of playing 3 or 4. So the only thing I can think of, is that because he's played so well, a team has called DL with an offer for Budaj that is a good one. And he wants to acquire a backup.
Other than that, it makes no sense.

Nobody is taking Gabby's $$ or term...unless DL is eating a good chunk and he can't afford to do that.
