It's clearer and clearer that Dach doesn't have the skillset to excel as a C in the top-6. I'm pretty sure he's seeing that picture take fqrm as well, even if, after getting benched, Dach claimed that he knew exactly what he had to do to be the player he needs to be to stay in the top-6.
If he has to choose between being a 3rd line player and a top-6 player (including the bigger dollars that comes with playing on the top-6.), I'm pretty sure he will resign himself to playing RW on a line with Caufield and Suzuki.
Everything would at least be settled for the start of next season if Demidov was a C, but, although he has played C a little nit as younger player and although he claims enjoys playing C, I'm not advocating to play games like we did with Drouin.
Just for shits and giggles, this top-6 could be interesting:
Caufield - Suzuki - Dach
Slafkovsky - Demidov - Laine
Otherwise, we need a real 2C and could ice the following lineup:
Caufield - Suzuki - Dach
Slafkovsky - 2C - Demidov
Heineman - Beck - Laine
Anderson- Davidson - Gallagher
There seems be less and less room in the lineup for Roy and I'mwondering if he will play another complete season in Laval while we see what happens with Laine?
