The farm.

Say goodbye to McAvoy, your next 2 1st round picks, Zboril and 3 of your best forward prospects...

So basically no chance in hell. Avs obviously would take on cap to make it work but honestly it wouldn't be worth it for the Bruins really...

I would actually consider it with a slight modification lets say McAvoy, 2017 1st round pick, 2018 2nd round pick, Jakub Zboril , Danton Heinen, Jake DeBrusk and then one of either Ryan Donato, or Anders Bjork, of course we would need to add salary back so either Hayes, Beleskey or Kevan Miller.

If we can't unload any of our rentals, I don't know what's more sad; the fact that nobody wants any of our junk rentals, or that the boobs in the front office went out and acquired those trash players to begin with.

The sad part will be that it will remain that collection of scouts and management that will be trying to trade Matt Duchene, draft with any additional picks we acquire, and sign any free agents this summer. That is what makes us the Sadalanche.

My baseless bold predictions. Tyutin to wild for their 3rd rounder and a prospect or conditional pick. Suter was injured last night and didn't return.

From Joe Smith Tampa bay times mailbag:

Is Jonathan Drouin "untouchable?"?

Drouin should be. He's turned into one of the more dynamic players in the league, a human-highlight reel. And you could tell how important he was in Monday's return, with Drouin's three assists setting up Nikita Kucherov's natural hat trick in a 5-1 win over Ottawa. Yzerman has said he has "untouchables," but notes some core pieces sometimes need to get moved due to cap. My sense is Drouin is available, though at a very, very high price.

I would not do that. 2018 1st would be key as well as getting Cehlarik, one of JFK/Senshyn and probably Frederic. Heinen and DeBrusk would not fit the bill of what I asked for. Don't consider those to be among your best forward prospects. They are pretty good but IMO a notch below some others...

Cehlarik (might be wrong on him but I really liked what I saw in 2 of the recent Bruins games I have seen. Was the one where he got the assists so maybe I am overvaluing him), JFK/Senshyn, Frederic was more like the names I envisioned when i said "Best forward prospects". Bjork or Donato could maybe be substituted for Frederic but I would insist on the other two.

You shouldn't want to make that deal. Now I am scared that I asked for too little . :sarcasm:

Levaoui (spelling) said Kings are trying to offload gaborik.

I would take him if it came with a ++++ but I bet he goes to Arizona or Carolina.

Snow won't put Barzal in the discussions, and the Avs apparently only like him or Sorokin as far as their prospects go.

Which makes all those rumors and reports look like complete and utter garbage.

I am honestly scared that Sakic even listened to what Snow had to say given what apparentely was off the table.

Does not give me much confidence in Sakic getting a good deal for Duchene if there were "once-heavy" talks with the Isles according to Dater revolving around names like MDC, Pulock, Dal Colle, Nelson, etc....

Hell yeah I would too. Gaborik and Ladue for Iggy. That's the type of trades Joe needs to make with our cap situation.

Gaborik has 4 years after this season left @ 4.875M and he looks godawful out there right now from what I have seen. He would fit in right with the current Avs...

I would want more than LaDue in return for taking on that contract. Atleast Soderberg would have to go the other way as well...

You guys are aware that Gaborik is 35 years old and is signed for four more seasons after this year at $4.875 M AAV per year. It would be brutal and the kind of move that has the Avs in the position they are today.

Ok I would the counter with this McAvoy, 2017 1st, 2018 2nd(won't give up the first 2018), Zboril, Cehlarik, Senyshen, Donato and Beleskey or Hayes for cap reasons.

Or at least Beauch

I'd assume he'd retire pretty soon (especially if he was playing for a team as terrible as us). His actual salary next season is $5.075 which would limit the amount of retirement recapture we'd be on the hook for. That'd mostly fall to the Kings. So, why not? Take Gaborik and a prospect.

I feel like the board is bipolar sometimes. This seems similar to the types of recent moves the Avs have made with veteran players that most are criticizing.

And it isn't a 35+ contract which leaves a few options viable such as a post 2018-19 buyout

Gaborik AND a good prospect.

I'd keep Iggy around another couple years if it meant we could get a great prospect out of it. I just want to capitalize on the years we have cap space available.

So I wonder if Dorion takes the 2nd round pick offered for Lazar today? Kind of tongue-in-cheek remark, because I expect him to be with the Sens past the deadline and their fans will be up in arms because Dorion did not take the draft pick.

That 2018 1st to me is IMO the third or maybe even second most interesting piece of the whole deal.

No chance I would do it witout it. Lets just move on.

There is a 0.000000000001 % chance that Sakic moves both Landeskog and Duchene and he probably wouldn't do it for my all futures proposal anyways...

Only way I see those two moving together is if a guy like Ekblad (++) would hit the market...

Duchene is going to be such an eeyore after he's not traded today.

If any team bites on him today though it's gotta be Nashville.

I would take gaborik if it included taking Beauch and gave back a 1st + LaDue + 25% retention on gaborik.

Do we actually think there is a 2nd?

That has always felt to me like a rumor fed to Garrioch/Dreger by Dorian himself, but I didn't actually see Dreger's report so who knows.
