This is depressing... Nothing is going to happen. These bum vets will be on this roster the rest of the season. The trade drama around the core will drag out till the last minute. Im usually optimistic but this is a joke. I hope Sakic proves me wrong.

TT is one guy I've never been as impressed with as everyone else seemed to be. When everyone was all up in arms about how much Chicago had to give up with Bickell to rid themselves of that contract I actually thought Chicago did quite well for themselves.

I have no idea why people love TT so much. A below average 2nd line player that doesn't give you much of anything in general.

We are dead last with tons of deadweight. If the Avs were smart, they'd acquire the high risk, high reward players that may be struggling/cheap and give them plenty of opportunities...what they'll probably do is nothing, then they'll give the vets a hilariously long leash while quick benching the young guys. So pretty much I expect status quo.
Personally I think they are smart and just trying to capitalize on teams not getting Duchene.

This makes me sad, but sure, let's hope on the hell train. At least we can hype ourselves up about Dahlin/Svechnikov and the rest of the 2018 draft. Who's ready to watch Beauch set new goals against records? He's going to stop tipping them into his own net and just rip them top shelf.

You can't see why the Avs would want that!? They could have a monopoly on that type of player.
Not going to be upset if Sakic doesn't move anyone. Although I think it'll be like the O'Byrne trade where it'll be the last call through because teams are grabbing anything off the shelf before the store closes.
I mean come on. These "rentals" the Avs have are the worst players, on the worst team (in modern history), with the worst compete level. Why would any good team want that for free? Let alone paying for it.
This isn't defending Sakic, who I couldn't care less if he is brought back next season, it's just the sad truth.

Would anyone really be surprised if the "deal in place" with the Isles was something like de Haan, Dal Colle and a 1st round pick for Duchene? I could easily see Sakic being enamored with de Haan as the "talented young defenseman" needed for the trade.

He adds less than Comeau and would likely cost a 2nd +... why would the Avs want him?

Would do TT for Grigo.
No interest in giving up picks or decent prospects for him at all..

Problem is that I fear that Sakic has probably not enjoyed the media coverage of the ROR deal...
Can see him settling for less future heavy packages with way less overall value if he gets something that prevents that media scorn from repeating itself atleast in his mind..

I'd take TT if they wanted to throw him in in a deal for Duchene alongside Hanifin, otherwise no thanks. He's the type of player we don't need.
