You have a charity event you're promoting or something?
The rumor is that he'll be starting a Onlyfans so keep an eye out for it. :sarcasm:

What a contract. I don't think Hanifin is a savior but he's a great top 4 dman and the cap is rising a good bit.

He was practicing on the top pair with Pietrangelo this morning. And Cassidy said that it will be up to Hanifin if he wants to play tonight. But he'll be with Pietrangelo.

Vegas did good trading for him and if that's his AAV, they did good business.

And although they traded the 2025 1st for Hanifin, the condition is that Vegas still has the right to trade the 2025 1st by tomorrow's deadline. If they do that, their 2026 1st is transferred to Calgary. If they don't deal the 2025 1st, it is Top-10 protected to Calgary. But if Calgary ends up with the 2026 1st, there is no condition.

So for this TDL, Vegas still has the 2024 and 2025 1sts they can use.

He's 26th in points for dmen since 2021-2022.
Just because he didn't want to re-sign in Calgary, doesn't mean he wouldn't want to sign with us.

At the price Vegas got him for, couldn't we have gotten him for the WPG 1st + Barron or Harris? Or give Calgary back their 1st? And then re-sign Hanafin for 8 years 7M AAV.

He wanted to play in the states plus he had a 8 team no trade list and a Canadian team that has finished in the bottom 5 the last 2 years was probably on it

could be. I heard the U.S. rumor, but only have at the status of a rumor.

hanafin is a boston guy. Hughes has a lot of contacts with a lot of players from the boston area.

The reporting was clearly that he wants to play for a winner and in the US. You really think he was going to sign with Montreal?

And the team with lots of young LD wants to make a LD the third highest paid player on the roster?

I'm not sure why anyone would think Hanifin is a realistic target for Montreal.
