Quite a tad off on that one. Isles also don’t really need Morgan Reilly in return.Dobson for Cowan & Rielly
I think Lou liked Rielly.

I can see it now...."Your teams best forward prospect, best d-man prospect, 5-1st round picks, +++++"24 year old RHD in the last year of his RFA deal. Scored 70 points last year on a team no one would confuse for an offensive juggernaut. Very bad in his own zone.
Islanders most likely looking for a hockey trade for a similarly aged and valued player, or slightly below with value made up by prospects/picks.
The Islanders aren’t offering their most overrated C prospect. That ask would be a Leafs/Habs ask for a future career AHL 13F.I can see it now...."Your teams best forward prospect, best d-man prospect, 5-1st round picks, +++++"
or you could read the threadI can see it now...."Your teams best forward prospect, best d-man prospect, 5-1st round picks, +++++"
Sounds about right.I can see it now...."Your teams best forward prospect, best d-man prospect, 5-1st round picks, +++++"
I dont think this does it for us. We still have Dobson under control. A RD who can put up over 70 pts. A rookie Dman who has a total of 11 pts in career and a mid to low 1st rounder doesn't work.assuming cbj moves provorov first with retention for a 1st, flipping that 1st (not their own) + jiricek for dobson sounds like it would make sense.
real hfboards moment here reducing a guy who is two years removed from being the #6 overall pick, and one year removed from being the AHL rookie of the year (at 18) down to just "a rookie dman"I dont think this does it for us. Agree with you that trading Dobson would signal a full rebuild. However I think Jiricek + a late first is still a little light. I think you would have to include one of your younger players + a 2nd/3rd pick instead of the first. Ik it’s a lot but no matter what scenario the Isles choose to go Dobson fits it. The only way he leaves is if he wants like $10mil and other teams are actually willing to give it to him. Otherwise I don’t see the Isles actually making that move.real hfboards moment here reducing a guy who is two years removed from being the #6 overall pick, and one year removed from being the AHL rookie of the year (at 18) down to just "a rookie dman"
if the isles are open to trading dobson, i assume it would signal a full rebuild. maybe i'm wrong in making that assumption. but if that's the case, adding a mid/late first + jiricek would be the best offer out there to jump start that.
jiricek also has another year on his ELC after this one + will likely be in line for a bridge deal after that, unless he really breaks out to earn a long-term deal (in which case he's basically a younger dobson replacement anyway)
Jiricek is magic beans until he’s not. Dobson is already a proven scorer at the NHL level.real hfboards moment here reducing a guy who is two years removed from being the #6 overall pick, and one year removed from being the AHL rookie of the year (at 18) down to just "a rookie dman"

3rd overall for Dobson as an even swap? Nope, teams will beat that by quite a bit.Montreal might move 3rd overall if Martone gone. Would you Be interested?

I would say that with each passing loss the likelihood goes up. I’d put it now at like…. 3%.Fantasy trade thread....no way he is getting traded.
