We didn't even need to read what Caps Fans had to say. We saw his decline first hand.

He's going to take the guy one rung up on the ladder with him when he goes.
I had hoped Eddie could eventually bounce back from his back injuries.

Especially if Guentzel doesn't extend, that's a haul to give up for the Rags.

Not sure I would do it tbh.
It's not like the Rangers will have much more chances to win. Panarin/Kreider getting up there in age and Zibby looks like be on the down swing. Shesty also won't be on his cheap contract much longer. Kakko looks like another Kotkaniemi type, not really a franchise player.

Pierre LeBrun saying Avs offered 1st and Johanssen contract for Tanev.

I would have taken that for Savard, as long as, like Philly, we waived Johanssen and he didn't take up playing time from the youth.

Last year, they lost in the 1st round to the Devils after making the conference final the year before. They don't want an early exit again.

Other than Savard the Habs have nothing of value to offer this TDL.

In Montral though, they'd most likely keep Johansen because they need centers.

Yeah throw darts in Russia with late picks you don't have to sign them right away.

Make Bobrov work his contacts

Savard's value on his own is a first, we shouldn't have to take on a shitty contract like Johansen's to get a first for him.

As long as we would be willing to waive such a player if we needed the roster spot for a young player. For example, next year we have Suzuki - Dach - Dvo - Evans. I don't see Johanssen beating out any of those 4. I would rather he be in the AHL than on the wing in the NHL.
