Seravalli in his podcast said that he believes Habs will either retain on Allen or Savard or end up being a third party broker.

He mentions that while Avs are looking at different options for goaltending, he said that he thinks Allen would be their best option. And that his poor numbers could be because he's playing on a bad team. And that with the Avs, he could be that .905 goalie again.

Good trade for Leafs. Edmundton big part of that front 4 in cup run. Can play either side low contract. Caps gained a pick and got most a year out of Edmundton.

Shows why Armia or Dvorak can be traded over summer.
Except that Edmundson can't do any of those things anymore. He was a big part of that Cup run in 2021, which was 3 years ago.

Oilers and Tor were the ones who needed Savard the most.
Who else needs him, haven't already traded for their RD pillar and has the assets?
I don't think he's moving.
I mean Troy Stecher ... I honestly though this guy had retired 5 years ago.

Saravalli said that he thinks Montreal could be a team that helps broker a trade for Guentzel.
It would be kind of stupid to sit on the retention slot without doing anything with it. I'm fine with that when we have a winning team but i mean even if it gives us a 4th only the more tickets you have ...

No it isn't. Oilers are in win-now mode so draft picks and prospects are the precise things they have to trade. They need players who can help them win now, not 5 years from now. Henrique can help them win. He's a solid middle six player and an upgrade on Jarnkrok, who he likely supplants on that line. The Oilers' first rounder will be a mid to late round pick anyway, like Jacob Perreault who we just acquired today (25th overall) And they got Henrique for only 25% of his salary so they have room to add someone on the blue line too, be it Savard or someone else.
Oh the issue is not trading the picks, it’s picking Henrique when that team needs major help in some other positions

Gudas won't play for the Oilers (or any Canadian team, apparently)
Ok that I was not aware of . But I think revert main d man traded or the ones not traded like Savard are a major need for them and surely way more then Henrique

Well they are going to look stupid af if he gets injured tonight just so they could "stick to their guns"
I honestly don't think HuGo look at Savard as a rental but as a potential hockey trade.
Having said that we keep hearing about how they want to be competitive next season.
If we had a RD who could fill his role it would be different.
I doubt very much any of Kovacevic Barron or Mailoux can take on that role.
The value Savard brings as a roster ready 2nd pairing guy and a mentor for Xhekaj is critical and not easy to reproduce.
Nor would I be keen on using assets to acquire a replacement.

A return that would allow us to over look all this will cost more than Savard. IMO
At least that is the way I see it.
