With what players? Harris? Barron? We aren't getting a top 6 player from that, not to mention that the bottom 6 will already be crowded with Roy/Dvorak/Anderson/Gallagher/Evans/Armia

It's going to be a trade that we all hate but needs to he done. It has to be a D-man with value (Ghule, Reinbacher, Mailloux or Hutson). Doesn't have to be this offseason, could be in 2 years when we are more competitive. Then we know what kind of top 6 forward we need to help us compete.
Romanov was traded for the 13th overall pick and currently we have 4 D-man who could potentially net more.

Good trade for Leafs. Edmundton big part of that front 4 in cup run. Can play either side low contract. Caps gained a pick and got most a year out of Edmundton.

He's a former 40 goal scorer in his prime who's top-10 in playoffs P/60. If you're serious about competing and think there's a chance you can re-sign him then I'm not sure its that crazy. If any winger is going to get a great return as a rental, its him.
