Wouldn't mind T. Raddysh as the 4RW, and the Rangers have four 3rd round picks. Something like Raddysh + 3rd for Maccelli's rights? Might be selling him a bit low though.

Give Maccelli a prominent offensive role on a rebuilding Rangers team and I'm sure he'll put up points, they can then re-sign him long term or flip him next deadline.

Can maybe try to get Schneider's rights included too, him and Andrae could make a decent 3rd pairing.

If I'm Chayka and I can bring in Bob I do it and I don't care if it's a 6 year deal why?

because it's not a 6 year deal it's really a 3 year deal.

because Bob plays games, even if Stolarz came back and was better than he was in 2025 he's playing 30 games.

Because I'm sick and tired of playoff chokers and quitters in our next.

Andersen choked in game 7 in 2018 quit on them in 2021

Campbell choked away a 3-1 series lead in 2021

Woll quit on the team in 2024 when he decided not to play game 7, then choked away game 3 the next year and single handidly cost them that series.

It's time to bring in a goallie with some guts and some try.

somebody that's not afarid.

If you can get Bob you give him WHATEVER he wants

Even if Bob retires in 3 years the Leafs carry the cap hit as he's 35+.

To be fair,.that was a strange season for Florida and they clearly threw the towel in half way through the year. Not sure we should treat those numbers as indicative of his ability moving forward. He put up a .914 during the 24/25 playoffs over 23 games
Small sample and the man just had his worst season and he's turning 38, I can see the red flags waving
did you see the roster by the time the season was done? there was nobody left

if you can bring in Bob you do it
So? Did you see our roster at the end of the season? Our guys performed better than him which is saying something

No you dont give a sizable deal to a 38 year old goaltender. It stinks of desperation
I didn't say it has to be Bob. But it will be someone. They aren't putting Cup aspirations on the back of Stolarz and hildeby.
This team is something else, love taking risks giving old guys retirement contracts but take a risk giving a young guy an opportunity they fall over swooning. No wonder this team fell off a cliff

Count me in the group that doesn't understand the appeal of Bob.

I respect his pedigree and the goalie he is....but that age and with the Term/AAV....should we really be using our cap-space on this?

Not to mention the two prospects we have in the pipeline

and just like that, the majority of owners voted against Olympic and International competition ever again.

I don’t see them being able to satisfy Auston Matthews’ open ended pressure on the organization and it’s probably time to just make a smart hockey trade and turn the page. What are they going to be able to do in the next two years, build a juggernaut that surpasses Florida on paper in the east and can carry a declining Matthews to more success than ever before? The guy shows no personal accountability to be a driving change for the positive in Toronto.

Your position is all based on Internet rumour, and media speculation. Might be true, might not be true... not really worth the investment.

I think its a couple of reasons why they are looking at goalie Bob.
1 - Durability maybe far and away the most important reason. 4 out of the last 5 years goaltender health has been a major problem for this team. If nothing else Bob stays healthy.
2 - Development of the 2 young goalies is paramount to future success of this team. Bob is the starter for the first two seasons while Hildeby and AA continue to grow as NHL goalies. He passes the torch to AA by season 3. Stolarz I expect his playing days are pretty close to over. Makes sense why he signed his contract just before the season started at a lower AVV than anyone expected. Almost 2 million lower.
3 - Keeping him away from the competition. Florida's 3 cup finals were as much as a result of Goalie Bob as anything or anyone. Leafs get better and weaken a second divisional opponent in a week. With Ottawa and Detriot self destructing the playoffs got a whole lot closer.

Who am I dunking on in this scenario?

You’re going to piss on everyone’s leg and tell us it’s raining?

The reality is Ersson is a distressed asset that might carry some kind of low end value here, which is probably why Toronto took on the player and a possibility why a third team like Florida might scoop him up.

yes because everybody in flolrida was hurt.

when you win back to back cups you get the benifit of the doubt

Least shocking news:

Would be great if we can get a late first in this draft or a future one in 2027 or 2028. I would also take a 2nd and 3rd.

If not, i wouldnt be against and extension if he is willing to take something like Murphy's deal as 3rd pairing right shot D and kicking the can down the line in hopes of trading him in a year or 2. i dont want him to walk for nothing.
