Rielly 4 teams in the west? Do we know which ones?

Also Reilly suffered under Berube. He's not perfect. But I don't think he is terrivibek or what he was the last 2 years.

McCabe. Tanev
Oel. Raddysh
Reilly. Carlo

Isn't terrible at all.

Raddysh pp1. Oel/rielly pp 2.
logically:
SJ
Ducks
Seattle
Vegas

I think the future looks bright for them, especially if they sign and trade Tuch.
The future always looks bright for Buffalo. What they need is for the present to be bright, and they are losing two pretty important pieces in Tuch and Byram.

Why would they trade him if he somehow got better than he was two years.

Three days ago the market rumors were a swap between Toronto and Edmonton for two player needing a change of scenery.
Now his value is first round picks to highest tax market in the country.

What changed?
The market changed due to availability and the cap rising. Clearly there are very few defencemen available in the market compared to the number of buyers out there. Chicago needing to resurect the ghosts of trades before the draft with a Mike Milbury level trade with Grier apparently just missing out with the 9th overall pick. The other factor that had me saying Rielly will bring back a late first for months now is the cap going up by 9.5 million a year for the next 2 to 3 years minimum. This is also raising the floor at the same time. The bottom half revenue teams cannot afford to go through 5- 10 year rebuilds anymore. They cannot lose the gate revenues. So first round picks that use to be like gold because they were the building blocks to rebuilds are now being thrown around like quarters because the management groups know that prospect is not going to be ready for 3-5 years and at that time they are probably not employed.
Things could get really wild if Nurse and Ritso are suddenly traded.

Things are developing. Not necessarily happening, but things are going to take place
In all fairness this is probably his least vague post because he never said the "not necessarily happening" part. All he said is not done, but I doubt he words it like this without a pretty decent source.

Better than the usual - "I'm hearing something may or may not happen at this point, players or picks could be involved, but again I'm not sure if this will happen or not"

What are options for Knies now, if a pick up to low teens 'must' be included after Chicago threw away pick #4?
Chi could still be an option, but, now it would be 2 high end pieces like Rinzel and Frondell/Nazar
Seattle maybe with Pick #7 Wright, but dont see a good young D to add to the deal (Ryker Evans?)
SJ maybe, with pick #9, but, then what can they add, they need D, and wont (shouldnt) give up Misa or Will Smith
Isles could be a dark horse, #13, Pelech, and Ritchie/Aitcheson OR Barzal and figure out the rest?

that Chicago whatever it was threw me for a loss and killed my hopes of moving Knies for a steal of a return

So, in your opinion nothing much has change.

I still believe if he’s willing to waive then I think the destinations are teams that can win now, or maybe his hometown, and still don’t believe those teams have Morgan Rielly as the missing piece and won’t give too much for him.

Strictly a guess but if the rumors are true and he’s given them 4 western teams I would think 4 of l Vegas, Edmonton, Minny, Dallas, Vancouver would be considered.

Get rid of this guy. He was only noticeable when there was zero pressure

I guess new management means big changes but letting go of a solid mid line skilled player for nothing is bad asset management. Get something for him. New coach and new opportunity, and he was very good from December and on.

That would be bad asset management. He was one of the few guys that was actually okay on both sides of the puck last year. We aren't tight against the cap. sign him to the QO, and then either trade him for value, or see if he can produce more in a better system like the rest of the guys.
