This feels like the most over played Leafs broken record.

Add an old, shell of former self player that either costs us getting rid of them later or provide very little value for this team.

I see no value of bringing him here

Well we aren’t playing well defensively and we miss Muzzin sorely. We struggle to break up a cycle especially against big teams and we aren’t playing strong down low - resulting in tip ins, rebound goals, and low HD scoring chances. Giordano would, defensively, probably be our 2nd or 3rd best defensive defenseman right now. That’s arguable of course, but IMO he would make a solid addition and really help stabilize the 2nd pair.

I’d love to see a hockey trade as opposed to futures for rentals. Let’s really shake things up. Nylander for an equivalent D or different type of forward. I know Dubas won’t do it but would love to see a blockbuster

Thats an off-season move for sure, not enough available trade partners looking to shake it up right now.

I still wouldn’t have given up what Boston gave for Lindholm with that extension, but it does make it better for them for sure

2nd rounders are spaced out. You have time to recover those

Not Clifford but I would love that fourth line for next year. We need a line that's going to be super tough and will wear opponents down with their physicality

f***ing stings doesn't it. Lindholm would have immediately stepped in and been our 2nd best D behind Rielly, and easily our best one defensively.

errr....knowing the extension @ 6.5 for Lindholm. I would've done that deal and traded Nylander for prospects/low cap hit players to create cap space. I mean Dubas should have known the ask from Lindholm, right?? Was 6.5 too high for him because he refuses to trade anyone from the top 4?
