Another option could potentially be Adam Larsson with Seattle not doing too well.

Oh I don’t think it’s perfect. But his family. Wife family (married his school teachers daughter) are all here. In the article he is quoted as saying he is r done.

his wife says that his dream is the cup and that’s all he wants (won’t re sign In seattle) they address him Being trade bait.

I get i t’s not perfect. But I think

Gio. Brodie.
Rielly Lilly
Muzz. Sandin could work.

If they could get a rd that would be ideal but dubas has always been about figuring it out. Babcock was the only one obsessed with Ld rd

I don't know about Sandin at RD for a prolonged amount of time at this point (roughly). I will admit that the group does look impressive on paper.

that is the dream. I wanted him for the team but I don’t know that he would want Canada. It didn’t go well in Edmonton. Might want less
Pressure but if he would come here thats my vote.

Don't know how much cap space we'd have to work with but unless we Kutcherov Marner some, I doubt we'd have enough space for a stud RHD. Larsson would be great though.

sure you could fit him. Trade sat holl 1 and you need 2 million cap space accrued by the end of the year. Totally doable

They just signed him in the offseason .. Cant see him waiving his NTC after half a season.
I don’t see it happening either. Just threw his name out there since Seattle isn’t doing too well and Larsson being exactly what we’d need.

Rielly - Brodie/Larsson
Sandin - Larsson/Brodie
Muzzin - Liljegren

That would be a real nice group.

I wouldn't give that up for a less than 2 years of Severson.

Holl and Mikheyev

3.6 outgoing 4.1 incoming
Why would New Jersey make that trade? Mikheyev can also walk in the off-season. If you want Severson, you have to include Dermott and Robertson IMO to get New Jersey interested.

I think Giordano might be a next offseason type move when he's a UFA.

I would be pretty happy if they were able to move Holl to Seattle for Lauzon.

I'm not that interested in Severson.

I'm not high on Robertson, but I believe the Leafs are.

I also don't think the Devils are giving up the season, and wouldn't make a move until TDD.

Nick Robertson has become the "include in every trade proposal" guy now eh.

Cor Sad.
Out of sight, out of mind. Some people don't follow the prospects at all and have no idea what's going on. There's no noise about him right now (because he hasn't been playing) and people have seemingly forgot about him.

Some of the arrogant people on this board have recently come into the prospects thread to ask how he's been doing, having no idea that he suffered a significant injury at the beginning of the AHL season.

He'll be back over the next few weeks and I imagine he'll start to put up numbers quickly. The crap part of this injury is he would probably be getting significant NHL minutes right now with the Leafs dealing with injury/suspension to a few forwards.

What RHD is realistic? I don’t. See any. Braun maybe?
I don’t see a ton of options right now either, maybe if Philly stays in the tank Risto can be had?
Maybe Anaheim comes back to earth and Manson shakes free? It’s still too early to have any definitive targets imo as this is the time to shuffle around what you have and figure out what’s going to be the line up down the stretch.

What are peoples thoughts on P.K. Subban potentially? Dubas apparently had interest in him before he got dealt to New Jersey. If we can get New Jersey to retain 50% of his contract and another team like Buffalo to retain another 50% (similar to what we did for Vegas and Robin Lehner), it could be a nice addition. His defensive game isn’t nearly as bad as it once was. He brings a lot of energy and doesn’t shy away from the rough stuff and getting under opponents skin. Definitely an upgrade on either Dermott or Holl.

IMO any potential circus additions need to be avoided.

Seems like a lot of hoops to jump through for someone that might be okay on the third pair with some PP2 time.

well is he an upgrade right now? He has big game potential. Has somewhat of a controversial personality?

I think he sounds great very insightful when he talks on podcasts. I think he grew u friends with JT from playing and simmonds from Scarborough….

He is only owed 2 mil in real money. So double retention would be like 60 k In real money.

that would bring his cap down to 2.25

But how well is he playing? Is he top 4 capable just overpaid?

IF he is good.

rielly. Brodie
Muzz. Subban
Sandin. Lilly

could work?

I think getting dealt by Nashville was a reality check for Subban. He doesn’t have his usual on and off ice antics. He’s older and more mature now. He’s also from Toronto and loves playing with passion. Maybe joining a good team with a good blueline will help rejuvenate Subban’s overall game and light a fire under him again.

WELLLLLL I wonder if they would they have interest in one Petr Mrazek, one Pierre Engvall and one Travis Dermott... we could send them all three needs for a 3rd and Zach Hyman with 15% retention

That Hyman contract is not going to age well. As much as I like Hyman, I'd stay away.
