In terms of Lybushkin, he's a "good" bottom 4 type guy that I could absolutely see benefiting from a change of scenery. I've only seen like 6 Coyote games this year though so grain of salt

The only way that would make sense is if you're trading Muzzin and even if there was a fit with a trade package, I doubt he would waive his NTC to go to Arizona.

The guy out of Arizona that they should be targetting is Lawson Crouse. If the Coyotes are rebuilding, trade them Ritchie and a B/C level prospect like Abruzzese or SDA. You get out of Ritchie's contract next year, get a cheaper and potentially more effective Crouse and Arizona gets a warm body for this year and next.

I don't think that would be enough to entice them.
Sure a nice prospect and a 1st are good, rest are spare parts.

I would think one of Sandin or Lilligren would have to be included.

Would make sense to open up a LHD spot on the lineup. As much as I hate it, it would have to be Sandin. Just no space to play Sandin unless they plan on sitting Muzzin.

I agree. Those would be the most ideal defensive pairings heading into the playoffs. Just not sure who would be a good fit to play along side Rielly.

Not sure about the future but for now agreed unless you can move Muzzin and Sandin/Dermott. Holl is playing himself off the team and is is the more urgent move.

If Chychrun is the target, then this will be Muzzin's last run with the Leafs. There's no way to afford to keep Rielly, Brodie and Chychrun on the back end. The Leafs also have to consider that Campbell's contract is going to be a bigger increase.

Carolina usually makes a surprisingly big move, I highly doubt they’d move Pesce but he would be a perfect fit next to Rielly.

What player has returned a package even close to that in recent times? That is crazy value. I would much rather not add another LD, leafs can't afford a like 6 million dollar Muzzin on the 3rd pairing.

Still think Mayfield is the answer. Trade for him and run a strong d core for the playoffs. In the offseason move Muzzin for picks and free up some cap space, and move sandin beside Mayfield.

I agree, he certainly checks all the boxes of what we need, but will Lou do a deal with Dubas?
