Hopefully that's good news!

Day to day sounds much better than 4 to 6 weeks, or season ending injury.

I wonder if they did an MRI already.

Just a guess. We've seen bad things happen in the past on very similarly looking plays. Chara had his knee injury against the Islanders Tavares on a play that didn't look very bad. Heck he even played another shift if I remember correctly.

Not trying to be Dr hf boards, just a guess. Why was be seen in a brace if it isn't knee related?

Listening to the podcast, he says from what he's been told it's a knee injury and that Krug 'might' be able to play if the Bruins make it to the 2nd round.

What the **** is that supposed to mean? I'm assuming he's saying he's hearing it's worse but why don't these ****ing ass clowns just come out and say it instead of beating around the bush. Those ****ing no talent morons have one job, report info to the fans. This dumbasses tweet means nothing. Is he hearing it's worse than day to day or not as bad as day to day and the Bruins are just being overt cautious?

It's like Flutos tweet earlier about Bjork...did you get that info from a source or are you just speculating. Let us know that info. Your actual hockey opinions are worth a wet fart, you know ****. Just let us know the facts cause for some reason you have a job that gives you access to inside info.

He da guy dat you occasionally hear on EEI that talks like a paloooka and pronounces all his "th's" as "d's".

Drives me freaking bananas.

"Hey dis is Danny Picard and today we are going to tak about da Bruins and wedder or not day should have fired Clode Julien..."

They could beat Ottawa without Krug, especially if Karlsson isn't 100%... but man... its going to be an ugly ugly series and there is no way they can beat MTL or NYR without Krug.

Amazing, considering hardly anyone saw the contact. And, those who did, didn't notice anything untoward in his reaction.

Guess we have more posters here with medical training than we know.

The thing I thought was strange is that when he skated to the bench after the contact he took a couple of full strides and looked fine.

I do remember a hockey player awhile back (can't remember who it was) that injured an ACL/MCL and was going to require surgery. However, if he wore a brace to stabilize it, the injury was not going to get worse, so the guy opted to play in the playoffs and put the surgery off.

Wish I could remember the player.

My nephew re-tore his ACL playing HS football. With the help of a brace he was able to play basketball and is now playing baseball. His surgeon said the muscles etc surrounding his ACL are strong enough to compensate so there are no stability issues provided he wears the brace.

So it is possible to play a sport with a torn ACL. Question is, is that what Krug has? And if yes, if he plays on it now he'll miss a big chunk of next season w/rehab. Not to mention risk of further injury that could shorten his career.

But let's find out first mmmmmmkay?

Didn't Matt Light play an entire season on a torn ACL? The muscles are absolutely strong enough to support it if you are a professional athlete but it is still a 6 month recovery window.

I believe he did.

I think a lot depends on how severe the tear is, where on the ACL the tear is etc. My nephew was very lucky. He was going up to catch a pass & got tackled, just landed on it funny. There was no swelling and he could walk on it. The first time he tore it his knee was like jello.

Beauchemin?

It wasn't Beauchemin. I think it was a Russian player and a guy I had always thought was a little soft. I remember gaining a lot of respect for the guy. It doesn't really matter.

The NE football player that played the whole season with a torn ACL was Logan Mankins. He kept the injury, which occurred in the preseason, to himself and didn't realize how badly he had hurt it until he tore the MCL in the other knee in a playoff game.

He played in the SB with both injuries.

Yes, Cehlarik still hurt (based on Mueller being on the first line in PB practice).

If the B's think that McAvoy can be a difference maker, then I don't have a problem with the B's burning a year off his ELC. If they think that Chiller or Morrow (or Grizz or ROG) can be as effective at this point, keep him in PRO.
