I like this move.......IF this is it for July 1st.

I don't want to address our D this year in UFA because we will overpay for nothing that special.

This add is perfectly fine if we're done for the day and will probably be a positive addition the next year at least, hopefully most of the contract, but easily moved or removed contract it's tiny money with all the guys on ELC's etc, contracts expiring in the next few years of guys not even playing.

Can't say it won't be entertaining.

I haven't read the whole thread so I don't know if someone answered your question but he's OK. He's big and mean but isn't a pure goon (think Orr, Boogard, etc.). He'll win some and lose some but I think the fact that he's willing to drop them is enough considering the refs jump in and stop fights early now anyway. Regardless, this is a good deal for the Leafs and as a Rangers fan I'd be happy if we had him for that.

Don't get me wrong, i always really liked guys like orr or tucker because they are fun to watch. Plus put him on the komarov line and just laugh how they mess up the opposing team but 4 years is about 2 years too much

Darcy Tucker had 6 seasons of 20+ goals including 28 in 74 games and 24 goals in 56 games so you could probably give him the benefit of the doubt and say 2 of those would be 30 goal seasons.

My point is it feels insulting to put him in a sentence with Colton Orr.
