What does that have anything to do with Liljegren performing and exceeding expectations in the nhl today? Other than the fact they’re both/were leafs property.
Bracco was also very good in the AHL and if not for some interesting personality quirks he’s probably a reasonably decent middle 6 scoring W. Nothing to get horny about though, unlike what liljegren projects to be.
Because some random leaf fans pumped up Dermott's value at some point and he didn't live up to it, all future young leaf defenders are busts.

I've been high on Liljegren since his draft year and before that. He could still bust out. But wow has he really come onto his own this season and esp the last 15-20 games. It's pretty clear who has and hasn't watched him. People just out here posting anything they want and looking small minded. By all means go ahead and lose more credibility.

Based on what? Literally every deal he’s signed aside from marner is market value or better. Even Marner’s deal looks reasonable with how dominant he’s been in all situations this season after an awful first 5-6 weeks to start.
Not at all sorry that he had lots of good players to sign in short order.
Based on the OPs player evaluation. I'm on your side bro.

How many minutes did Holl get last game? How many minutes did Timmy get?
This isn't debate worthy. You think you are better than our scouts and I don't. That is basically what it boils down to. Leaf fans and professionals will tell you Timmy is already better than Holl or Dermott.

I cant say for a fact he will be better than Dermott forever. You want to analyze icetime in one game (after being a pressbox boy) . It would be more constructive to compare seasons wouldn't it?

You win.

Dermott was not a good comparison. Like I said before the only thing they have in common is the team they were drafted by. It is lazy and ill-informed.
The comparisons to Dermott are not a comment on the players. Its a comment on the evaluators.

Looks like the truth stung a little on that question.

You don't like how I looked at one game to discuss ice time? Would you prefer the season? Go tell me the difference in last games TOI and his season average.

I'm the one agreeing with Leafs coaching and their value of Timmy. YOU are the one arguing with "Leaf professionals".

You've defeated yourself.

Dermott trajectory.
Tell me you have a blind bias for everything Leafs without saying it.

All the Leaf fans in here telling us about Dermott's top pain potential a couple years ago are the same ones telling us Timmy is totally going to be awesome now. This guy can't even be trusted as much as Holl at this point. Don't hold your breath.
Consider this
Looks like he’s gonna hop, skip and jump his way to a respectable 20-point rookie season with next to no PP time and a robust but manageable 45% Dzone start percentage.

EDIT: that’s more points in 49 games than Dermott has ever had in a season, for the people in here who don’t seem to get numbers or what they mean.
If you can prove your case plz do. Otherwise you are stating opinions as facts and gloating which is a bad look. Also not sure you know what truth is. I'm a bit baffled why you think more icetime by Holl in one game proves anything. Also, your claim about our coaching staff are interesting. They said Dermott was better? Timmy would never be top 4? Source please. I'm sure it will clinch your case.

You clearly have a difficult time reading. Feel free to reply directly to what I have said. You haven't answered a single question because you are over your head and have actually proved yourself wrong several times. You have presented zero to prove your point.

Something doesn't add up. A good coach plays a bad dman more than a 1st-paring dman? :bb:
Believe it or not but the Leafs def is actually good. We have 8 solid NHL dman. Been a long time since we have had such a group of competent players on the backend. Liljegren is averaging a minute on the pk and he's recently been put on the #2 powerplay. He's clearly trusted in all situations hockey. He's young and still earning his ice time it's his rookie season for goodness sake. Leafs have a premier pk and pp and he's apart of that.

Please just stop, he is a 22 year old RHD playing in his first regular stint in the lineup. Kid has 20 points in 50 games with one shift of PP time. Unless we are getting a top 10 pick back and even then I would be hesitant because usually after the first 5 it’s a crap shoot.

Sorry but regardless of his questionable value he will be a cheap everyday player for the TML and hopefully help us get to the promised land. If Neimela and Villeneuve both are everyday players starting next year I can see why you might explore this conversation but neither have even stepped on the ice for the buds. Let alone be regulars in the lineup.

I suppose players automatically gets a huge bump in their trade value by default as soon as they become part of the Leafs 😂
He was drafted 17th overall, after an early season ranking of 2nd. He now has 20 points in 50 games as a rookie, he also excels defensively and plays with some bite.

I bet if you were the GM you'd trade him for another 17th overall pick after developing him for years just to be hip or some shit.

I'm sure Toronto wouldn't care if other teams were offended that fair value was off the table for someone they don't want to move. Them's the breaks. :hyper:

Why won't you answer simple questions?
Because you cannot follow a coherent conversation and are rude. You won't support your statement about Dermott which is what we are arguing about. Why would I bother? Putting you on ignore so don't bother.
