I am not emotional at all. You have a warped interpretation of what Liljegren is because you want to perceive it as some W for the team you cheer for. That's all really. Your entire tangent on Dermott is completely nonsensical and pointless.
I didnt brought Durzi into this thread because that would be too obvious. Heck, I believe his name was mentioned one time, and now two times. Just because you seem to want so. Neither did i mention Dermott but that was a good comparison.

For some reason you always like to stir up things but that is very childish. You can’t cope with any negativism but than there is one option. Do not respond but if you do, dont do this.

Dermott was not a good comparison. Like I said before the only thing they have in common is the team they were drafted by. It is lazy and ill-informed.

Turns out Liljegren is pretty good at Hockey.

Me thinks the Leafs will keep him.

Looks like he’s gonna hop, skip and jump his way to a respectable 20-point rookie season with next to no PP time and a robust but manageable 45% Dzone start percentage.

EDIT: that’s more points in 49 games than Dermott has ever had in a season, for the people in here who don’t seem to get numbers or what they mean.

Therefore he’s worth a 5th, maybe a low 4th.

LOL. Tell me you know nothing about the player without saying it.
Tell me you have a blind bias for everything Leafs without saying it.

All the Leaf fans in here telling us about Dermott's top pain potential a couple years ago are the same ones telling us Timmy is totally going to be awesome now. This guy can't even be trusted as much as Holl at this point. Don't hold your breath.

Ok I'm biased. Prove to me Timmy will not be a top 4 d-man. You must have solid proof if your opinion is a fact. I watch him, he projects as top 4. He's playing at the top of his game right now.

Please tell us what will stop his career from progressing further (since he's objectively as good as Dermott now).

I'm sure you can easily demonstrate my bias and I look forward to being educated.

Prove to you ? LMAO. your default is he is going to be a top 4? What planet are you on? That is proof of your bias. You are welcome for your education. How about a little more education, he's not playing top 4 right now. Because the Leafs had some injuries and he creeped into a top 4 spot a couple of times and then was promptly dropped back down doesn't make him a top 4 Dman. And this is the top of his game? Yikes!

How about he shows he can be better than Holl before we talk about anything more than what he is.

This is exactly what happened with Dermott. A short span into the top 4 and this board was bombarded from Leaf fans about how good he is and how hes got top pair potental because clearly he was already a top 4.......and then? Then it was he's still got potential for someone else's team the Leafs are just too deep. Then it fell to meh, a 3rd is a fair trade.

But you watch him through those blue tinted glasses.

He's literally doing better than Holl right now and playing in our top 4. Thanks for playing.

I liked Dermot as a Leaf and thought he had top 4 potential. He may still have top 4 potential but he has yet to put 'it' together as a player. If he ever does he could easily be a top 4 Dman on any team in the NHL, more likely on a poor team like Vancouver.

Right now Timmy is playing a better game than Travis was. That's partly why Travis was dealt. The Leafs needed his cap, roster spot and his spot on the 50 man roster freed up.

Travis need a change to ever be successful he had shown he wasn't very likely to get his game where it could be with the Leafs. I'm still a Dermot fan and hope he fulfills his potential.

Why argue with fans who have never watched the player? It was only 5 or 6 months ago Leaf fans had a vocal minority calling him a bust. We've watched him become an NHler and grow as the season went on and now he's been playing top 4 minutes (including several games on the top pair) and excelling at them, something Dermott never did.

Eventually fans who watch games will take notice. There will always be folks here who will never give credit regardless if he plays well too.

Que Dubas for the 6x$6 Million contract!
Based on what? Literally every deal he’s signed aside from marner is market value or better. Even Marner’s deal looks reasonable with how dominant he’s been in all situations this season after an awful first 5-6 weeks to start.
Not at all sorry that he had lots of good players to sign in short order.

Let’s just be glad Bracco never hit NHL surface and scored a couple in his first few games.
So you’re suggesting the Vast majority of an entire season showing dominant play both via eye test and underlying numbers is even close to a winger Gallup scoring a couple goals once?
Give it a rest or better yet find a thread that’s focused on the team you like if all you’re going to do is mutter utter nonsense

I'm hoping Dubas can sign him for as long as possible this offseason. He looks he's going to be a top pairing defenseman sooner rather than later.
Agreed. I was in the bridge him group for the majority of the szn but if you can get 6+ years at $4m give or take you take that and run and count your blessings a season from now onwards

No certainly not. One is playing in Europe and the other is not.

However, the poster reminded me about Bracco being a future Huberdeau in the making which eventually he was not.

What does that have anything to do with Liljegren performing and exceeding expectations in the nhl today? Other than the fact they’re both/were leafs property.
Bracco was also very good in the AHL and if not for some interesting personality quirks he’s probably a reasonably decent middle 6 scoring W. Nothing to get horny about though, unlike what liljegren projects to be.
