Okay, I've seen that booking.com one, or at least I've listened to it. I think that's a slightly extended version, as I don't recall the ''As long as they have child care!'' part, but maybe I just tune it out by the time it gets to that.

TBF it might be because Sling likes to replay the same ads over and over.

Would make anyone go nutty. Like Homer Simpson without TV and/or beer

They show the same ad or same two or three ads a lot when I do my goals reviews and watch each goal video on the nhl.com app.

On those nights where there's 85-90 goals scored in the entire league, that's a lot of Mark Messier ESPN+ ads.

''Thousands of games! Including the one you want! The games no one has but us, the plays no one has but us. That is hockey on ESPN+''. I've memorized that one. I think maybe they've been using that one the last two years that hockey has been back on ESPN.

The ''Find your wins'' New Amsterdam ad with the guys playing hockey on an outdoor rink and going into the liquor store and playing cards (one guy has a Blues jersey) was another they kept playing.

Actually, I don't know how, but I've somehow forgotten a lot of the really annoying one's. I've made posts about them during the season though.

One that I remember from 8-10 years ago was for some car and I can't remember what company it was. And there was some weird, possibly zoot suit wearing dude singing a song and a band playing. He was probably wearing a fedora. Sounded like some Brian Setzer type of stuff, but it definitely wasn't the real Brian Setzer. That one used to annoy me. They showed that one for several years, but I'd probably giggle if I saw it today.

General annoyance of the day:

There's two commercials I hate more than anything right now

1. That booking.com Melissa McCarthy commercial

2. That commercial for that Jardiance drug where they treat it like a f***ing musicial. It's the stupidest thing I've ever seen in my life. It's almost like a bad SNL parody/joke

Ya that Jardiance one is terrible. Reminds me of the old JG Wentworth jingle:

J.G. Wentworth had some brutal one's. I think they still have them on. I think I've seen one semi-recently.

My favorite stupid commercial ever, which I cannot find on youtube, I've been searching for years, but it's from 2005. It was for Kia and it had some fake 80's rock band playing. It's been so long that I can't remember if it was supposed to be some David Lee Roth impersonator, or if they were supposed to be some hair metal band impersonators. I think the singer had the David Lee Roth spandex, but maybe he didn't.

And he sang ''KIA! KIA! CASHBACK IN ME HANDDDDD!''.

Yes, he said cashback in me hand, not my hand.

I think the dude was even hanging from the ceiling. I can't remember. It was hilarious. I even taped it on an old VHS machine I had set up. I waited for it to come on and hit record when it did. It was coming on almost every 2 or 3 commercial breaks on the old Metro traffic and weather channel.

I would pay lots of money to see it again though.

Pizza Saturday.

nice, what's on them

One is pretty standard: Homemade tomato sauce, mozzarella, pepperoni, sausage, bacon, ricotta dollops, and a drizzle of garlic olive oil.

The other is a thin crust with a sauce that's a mix of tomato sauce, mascarpone and ricotta cheese and chopped garlic. That one is topped with mozzarella, red onion, green bell pepper and garlic olive oil.

Today marks 7 years without a single cigarette for me. 7/16/2016 I quit.

My last cigarette was 7/15/2016.

It's also National ice cream day :)
That's really impressive. I switched to a Vuse vape in the beginning of September in hopes of getting off the nicotine train. I use the middle nicotine mg which is less than a cigarette and currently use it way less. A pod typically lasts 2.5-3 days which is equivalent to a pack of cigarettes worth of nicotine. I was smoking a pack a day of cigarettes so it's a step in the right direction. Hopefully I get rid of this sooner than later too but I tried a cig like 6 months after I stopped and I couldn't even have a puff, it was horrible.

You should definitely be inviting us all over one weekend.

I kind of remember this as my GF is in a constant state of trying to quit so it resonated.

Not that she's a true smoker, she just likes sneaking off sometimes for few.

But congrats, smoking, especially as an everyday smoker, is a terrible habit.

Anyone can say what they want. A quality vanilla or chocolate ice cream beats any other ice cream on the planet. There's a reason vanilla is one of the most expensive flavorings/spices out there. Especially a good French vanilla.

But if we are doing a top 5?

1. Vanilla
2. Strawberry
3. Chocolate
4. Cookies n Cream
5. Butter Pecan

It’s subjective. Vanilla is a unique flavor and blends well with many things. I enjoy it. It’s not chocolate to my taste but it serves different purposes to me. Chocolate can be melded into certain thjngs but I find it a very powerful flavor that usually dominates whatever it’s put into. I do love a powerful chocolate ice cream. The darker the better. Vanilla can only be so intense to my palate. I also enjoy a well made fruit sorbet.
