Anyone can say what they want. A quality vanilla or chocolate ice cream beats any other ice cream on the planet. There's a reason vanilla is one of the most expensive flavorings/spices out there. Especially a good French vanilla.

But if we are doing a top 5?

1. Vanilla
2. Strawberry
3. Chocolate
4. Cookies n Cream
5. Butter Pecan

My top 5...
#1 Mint Chocolate Chip
#2 Root beer float with vanilla ice cream plus vanilla on numerous things
#3 Cookies n Cream
#4 any variation of Chocolate ice cream
#5 Cannoli ice cream at Nastos in Newark

I feel like Vanilla ice cream is the best compliment to other things, root beer float, on a brownie, on a piece of blueberry pie, etc etc. I like it alone as well but it's still better when it's on top of something else.

My list would be very close to yours but I'd drop the chocolate completely and add pistachio :)

I've long been a straight chocolate guy. Only more recently(I'm getting old, so recent to me is at least 10 years) have a deviated, and Ben and Jerry's makes a chocolate with chocolate brownie that is probably my first choice.

I only like Vanilla ice cream with something else, like hot apple pie or a chocolate cake of some kind.

Coffee is OK too, but most everything else I'd almost rather not.

december 2019. was a pack a month

and speaking of ice cream

I originally watched this when I was about 10. Somebody(older brother or parents) had rented it from the VHS store. We were rolling.

I was gonna add pistachio but most pistachio is a lie! Most use almonds and not actual pistachios so it stays as an HM.

Also if we are talking Talenti it begins and ends with their Roman Raspberry.

I like trying different ice creams but when all else fails a soft serve vanilla with rainbow sprinkles NEVER fails. I recently had blueberry ice cream from a farm a little ways away from me and it was to die for.

Alphonso Mango is better. But neither are as good as Sea Salt Caramel. They are all great though.

When I was a kid in the 1600s we used to enjoy that hard shell stuff that you could put on a soft serve cone. I think it went out of style after the French Revolution.

Speaking of which, wasn't thrilled with the Napaleon trailer. Hoping it's more the music overlayed on the trailer which is not indicative of what we will get in the movie.

In terms of ice cream treats though, like what you'd get from an ice cream truck, it's gotta be either the Chipwich or Drumstick/King Cone reigning Supreme since both the Choco Taco and toasted almond ice cream bar were discontinued

I’m watching that Taylor Hawkins show while packing and sorting and it’s amazing how no matter who tries to channel their inner Freddie Mercury and how close they come it’s just a reminder of how poorer we all are for having lost him. The songs are great and he was a master of the live show. I regret not hailing seen them live with Freddie.

Catching up on some things:

1. Barretts vanilla ice cream at Reading Terminal Market in Philly is amazing.
Otherwise, chocolate chip cookie dough.

2. Commercials? I have had free Hulu through Spotify for like 10 years now... but they play the same 1-3 commercials every single commercial break... and when I'm binging How I Met Your Mother, Always Sunny, What We Do In The Shadows, and now Lost.... it makes me go crazy.

The Taylor Hawkins tribute gets gradually more and more epic as it goes on and it was the perfect way to honor Taylor.

Dave Grohl and the surviving members of Rush was just *chefs kiss*

How he hasn’t talked those two into a few limited shows is beyond me. You know Grohl would love playing on those songs again. I was fortunate enough to see Rush four or five times (you get old enough and it gets a bit hazy) but I’d love to take my youngest to see Geddy and Alex play those songs.

My two favorite prog rock groups are Rush and The Alan Parsons Project. I still have time to see the latter (albeit without Woolfson but still) but I never got to see Rush, sadly.

I DID however see The Moody Blues at NJPAC a few years ago now. That was one hell of a show.

I enjoyed the Moody Blues in my younger years. I would probably opt for ELO over them but they are a classic group with many great songs. I won an autographed photo of them a number of years ago that I have somewhere

What's the best concert that you've been to?

I've been fortunate enough to see a bunch of bands but that honor goes to Paul McCartney. That was like an out of body experience.

Worst concert? Morrissey actually opened up for Paul (it was a festival) and it was as much of a trainwreck as you could imagine.

Bob Dylan sucked too.
