I am so old I've never heard of either and I'm sure both are great. I did pick up on Wet Leg from a recommendation made here and my youngest introduced me to Greta Van Fleet who I took him to see. I still maintain that rock losing its standing with most young listeners to country music and rap was a step back as an art form.
Both are ska bands, so more reggae than rock to an older ear, but still in the same vein. They play a lot with punk bands and the genres overlap a lot.

I had a convo recently with some friends in their mid 20's (I'm mid 30's) that was enlightening. My parents let me go out to the local music venues when I was 15 with just my friends and it wasn't weird, but 10 years later those same venues were either closed or there was no way in hell the younger generation was given the green light to go to shows by themselves by their parents. I'm sure it's different in other parts of the country, but all ages local shows need to make a comeback and be a place where kids can meet friends and see new bands.

I tend to agree, but there are some flavors that are damn good, especially when homemade. There's an orchard by me that makes a homemade peach ice cream with a vanilla base that's absolutely amazing.

But hands down best ice cream I've ever had was a saffron flavored gelato made from camel milk in Dubai. It was amazing.

i grew up with that as a kid...all ages punk shows...it was a tight scene all across the board from city to city ... the early mid 90s....toronto had classic studio on ossignton.... ottawa had 5 arlington... always cool and welcoming to everyone.

and yeah, the planet smashers kill it live

Yea i was 12 when I saw Gwar at the pony. My entire teenage life was based on getting dropped off at local punk shows every weekend. Probably kept me out of trouble.

And the Slackers are currently my favorite band. Basically a soul band that plays reggae/ska. I got into them WAY too late. Like I knew of them forever, but didn't really start listening until around 2014. Things be like that sometimes.

I agree with you. But make the shows on Thursday or Friday or Saturday night so dad doesn't have to get up at the crack of dawn and go to work the next morning, or at least he just has to trudge through a Friday, after he picks you and your friends up at the show at midnight.

Had a couple peaches recently that were absolutely delicious. Not Jersey Peach season quite yet, but worth buying the out of staters(I didn't actually look, but probably south US).

Not a huge peach guy in general, but when they are in season they are so good.

The difference between a ripe peach and a hard premature peach is so distinctive. I agree that in season ripe peaches with the right amount of give are fantastic. They go great in cooking as well. Cook them down and put them on a double cut pork chop. Yummy.

A firm unripe peach is OK. A mealy peach, which I'm not sure what the issue is that causes it, will ruin my desire for another peach for awhile.

I'm not sure there is a fruit as good as a peak peach.

I have had some really good cherries recently. And in season tomatoes are also great, was picking some cherry tomatoes off my buddy's plant the other night. But yeah, peaches.

Am I the only one that immediately thought of Kramer and Newman?

Forget about peaches. You have not lived until you had some Rainier cherries.
Was just talking about these the other day with a coworker. Think they were on sale maybe. I've had the regular cherries recently, and they were delicious, but I don't think they bring the unique experience the way a peach does.

Will have to try the Rainier's.

It's taken me a while to pull the trigger but I finally got a pair of wireless earbuds. I'm actually pretty excited for them to arrive tomorrow.

Ever have a fresh strawberry? Preferably the organic ones? Those are undefeated. Or like those cotton candy grapes.

Like listening to an old cassette tape that's been chewed up a couple times.

Think he'd be better off losing the effects and just playing.

It sounds like the effects are still a work in progress. Something still needs some fine tuning.

old cassette is a great description. shit ton of whammy bar (obviously) ...it's on purpose...
