Indeed. As a wrestling show, the Attitude era was bad. But as a sports entertainment show it was really good, as much as people hate the term.

I think Undertaker's first actually good matches were with Mankind in 1996, but he definitely improved a lot after then too. First HIAC was great.

So Vince was strongly pushing for Lesnar vs. Strowman but was talked out of it and now it seems Taker vs. Strowman is back on the table a day after Alvarez reported it wouldn't happen. This is PWInsider reporting this. I guess we'll see what happens.

So if its Taker/ Stro, you really dont think that match will be choreographed well in advance like how many of Takers last few WM matches have been?

Strowman isnt gonna hurt Taker any more than Taker can hurt himself. The only thing hurting this match is Taker doesnt have a guy to bump on command for him and you basically have two of the same guys in the ring. Give them ten minutes and Taker carrys him to a good match.

What does Vince see in this big man baby looking dude? We really going back to the new generation and just booking side show freaks for Taker to wrestle? And they had to talk him out of feeding this big **** to Brock? Jesus

And choreographing a match with Brock, Bray, Punk, HHH, HBK, is a whole different thing to choreographing a match with this green big dude, that seemingly can't work or even take a proper bump.

Strowman needed to spend time in NXT. He just has nothing going in-ring. He sure as hell has no business in a 1 on 1 wm match with Taker. Vince is so weird with his big guys. It's like he thinks everybody loves bodybuilding as much as he does. He seems to not be aware that most wrestling fans watch wrestling to see great wrestlers. Strowman is a decent talker who can't work but he's big and roidy so Vince is strapping a rocket to him.

Even though Brock ripped the rocket off in the Rumble. I imagine Brock tooling the big fool is how Vince was talked out of Brock/Strowman.

Taker legit should tell Vince I'm taking Mania off if this is the best idea you have.

He was in NXT, just not on the TV shows. Wasn't there as long as he really should have been, but they wanted a character, and he really is the only guy who could play it.

Well..."roidy" doesn't seem fair. He did compete (and I assume was tested as a result) in actual strongman competitions. I don't think he's roidy...he's just a monster of a human being.

Doesn't mean he's a good wrestler..obviously. I like his work as he is...he does the monster thing perfectly but I don't want to see him wrestling.

Strowman can hardly work in the ring as it is, and with how big he is, I can't see him being able to properly sell a Tombstone without him getting hurt.

The only 3 opponents he never tombstoned were Giant Gonzalez, Yokozuna, and King Kong Bundy.

I'm sure Mark can work with Strowman on eating a Tomstone safely.

There won't be anything wrong with a Hell's Gate finish. If it's good enough for a Brock Lesnar match, it's good enough for a ham-and-egger like Strowman.

It depends on the competition. Some of them are drug free and some of them don't care. There's a documentary on steroids called Bigger, Stronger, Faster where the subject and his brothers participated in many power lifting events on gas.

Not to say that Braun is juicing, I just think his combination of mass and definition is rarely obtained naturally. He'd have to have perfect genetics as well as an incredibly strict diet. I don't really care either way. Image is huge in wrestling so I understand why a lot of guys use.

I'd have to watch again but I recall him having trouble getting Harper up for a Tombstone and Strowman is much bigger. It isn't an insult. Strowman is a really big dude, and he is green as well. I don't think many guys could lift him and perform any kind of safe slam that didn't look like utter ****. Hell I think Brock suplexing him might not even work right.

A hell's gate finish is ok, but you kind of want Taker to look strong against this guy IMO, and Hell's Gate was always a last gasp way to win and only worked for me in the one HHH match and the Brock matches.

If they value Strowman enough to put him in against Taker, the best thing for both is for Taker to barely beat Strowman. Strowman shouldn't just be fed to Taker a la Rusev to Cena and then buried and beaten repeatedly beyond that. He should make it close and maintain his monster status as best as possible.
