so I suppose now it comes down to whether lesnar faces bray or braun at WM. I would assume bray, but who the hell knows.

That report is apparently not what he said. Saw a user who claimed to have listened to WOL today say that all Alvarez said was that he never confirmed anything and has not stated either way if Undertaker was going with Strowman.

Alvarez said he FEARED Taker would be next because Strowman vs. Show is very likely for Fastlane, but "fear not", because a source told Alvarez that Undertaker will not work Show.

I'm assuming you heard the show then so good to hear.

Next year when January rolls around we should have a drinking game around how many times Meltzer and Alvarez are misquoted.

Yeah I heard the show earlier today.

So, unless WWE decides to be last minute dickheads to its fans, and The Undertaker, we won't get Taker vs. Strowman at Wrestlemania.

Now Alvarez today is saying that Vince DOES want Taker/Strowman at Mania. I can't even anymore.

I'm the biggest Taker mark there is... but I wouldn't even be an ounce excited for that match. It would become a **** break.

Any Taker mark should want Taker to take Mania off then work this match. Because it is going to suck, and it could legit end up getting Taker hurt and ending his career the worst way possible.

I forget who said it, but the last couple Taker matches have had me scared for his health. Probably not a good thing when the viewer is scared for the guy's health.

Taker said he would retire when people saw him in the ring and said "Remember when...." and I firmly believe we are there.

I only felt that watching the Brock matches, and its because of how stiff looking Brock matches are. He did take some head shots that were scary though.

The SS match was safe as safe can be. The first Bray match was too (and was slow as hell, but I think that was because Bray was hurt).

That said this match would scare me. Only way to do it safely is to have a really **** match because Strowman is green as grass.

What's even the point of the match?

Taker beats some scrub... or they waste the retirement rub on a scrub.

There was that inferno match around Kane's debut, but that wasn't actually that good.

The first one? The actual mat work was not much, but the match itself was rather cool as the fire looked awesome.

Those early Taker/Kane matches were much more about the story and the spectacle, but they weren't bad IMO.

Taker really didn't start to wrestle actual good matches until the mid-late 2000s.

Yeah, that's what I mean. The good parts were all the non-wrestling parts, the actual wrestling was nothing of note.

Be honest a lot of the Attitude era could be summed up this way. There is good stuff, but there is a lot of meh wrestling surrounded by excellent storytelling and characters.

IT is definitely 2000s Taker that showed the man could legit wrestle (though he always put on decent matches with Shawn. First HIAC was a good match if I am remembering correctly. It didn't have the holy **** spots of the Foley/Taker match, but it had actual wrestling.
