Wrong. "The Booker of the Year" himself said rampage was equal to dynamite.

"And I promise Rampage isn’t going to be a secondary show. Rampage is going to be the partner of Dynamite, the equivalent to Dynamite. We have these two strong franchises Dynamite and Rampage, and they are our weekly core properties." -BOTY

SOURCE: Tony Khan promises that AEW’s new Rampage show will be a core property equivalent to Dynamite
I just said it doesn’t matter what they say. Literally in the post you quoted. On no planet is Wheeler Yuta main eventing an A-show as a single.

Surprised Tony would lie to his loyal fanbase like that. Thought he was better than that. The more I hear about the guy, the less I like him.

Here’s a good question: why do you come to a pro wrestling forum on a hockey message board and only talk about the ratings? Instead of like, pro wrestling.

NXT 563k/.13 but it is apparently up with younger viewers so I guess that’s not so bad.

Dynamite 948k/.31

I would say that’s a disappointment in the demo, that’s down from last week but I guess we gotta see about DVR numbers.

when even Dave Melzter says the demo is a gigantic disappointment, you know it's bad.

The lowest demo they've done for a Wednesday since May. That is troubling considering this was a huge match with lots of promotion

It was a huge match that had a non finish, followed by a 2 minute squash. 4 matches in total and people wonder why the ratings went down. There were 2 promos between every match, and they weren't short. For being one of their premium events, it was a total let down.

You wouldn’t know about the finish, or anything else, unless you watched it though. Or were spoiled.

What do the quarter ratings look like? Is there a drop after that first hour?
Don’t appear to be out there yet, but AEW’s history is that the audience grows during long matches. Obviously none have been 60 minutes though.

It just seems very backwards. I understand the reasoning being it can go long, but it's got a 60 minute time limit. You run that first and people are not going to care what is after it. Tune in for the match you want to see then leave. Especially when you have the dumb Cole/Bucks promo after it followed by the Wardlow squash.

Grows during the match, doesn’t necessarily mean they stick around for the rest of the show. Consider CM Punk was never promoted for anything too, which I don’t know if that was smart but conceptually, you don’t have to have him scheduled every week for something.

Every title match is 60 minute time limit, so it’s not like people are tuning in (or out) during an iron man match. Nobody knew the match was going 60 minutes beforehand. But going first was the first sign that it was what they were doing. They had to make sure that match got the time they made for it.

Everyone knew it was going the full 60. As soon as Justin Roberts said it had a 60 minute time limit, that was Tonys way of protecting both with out having to have one of them actually win.

They do that before every match

I'm referring to that match in particular. You don't have a 60 minute match on free tv without having something screwy happen at the end.

On a side note, the last few months of not as good Dynamites got me thinking. When did Tony kick out the EVP's? I remember there being an interview where he said he took away some(all) of their creative control. Would this be the reason why they started doing so poorly?

They’ve done world title matches on TV before though.

So there was a small dip in the middle of the match, but still peaked over a million. I'm guessing that dip was when it looked like Page was hurt and Danielson was doing jumping jacks
