Yup he is small ,but if deal is to Edm you dont got much choice outside him or 1st which would be a must. The 1st would need to be 2026 or 27 also, because they don't have a 2025 1st.That makes the pick more valuable though because the Oilers are good this season. The 27 pick might be best bet. That said I doubt Sweeney trades him.We shall find out soon though .
Fair but I want him traded to Vegas so he can spend the rest of the year talking Eichel into coming "home" in 2027. I don't think it's "tampering" if players talk to each other :)

Can you imagine Marchand-Eichel-Pasternak as a line...............................

Brazeau has done jack-shit for quite a while. WTF happened with him. Did he forget how to play hockey? Just along for the ride I guess!!?
Yeesh yep, did he give up?

None. The front office has received the message. They will sell. Whether they do a good job of it is a different question.
The problem is, what is there to sell?

What does an injured UFA-to-be Frederic return?
What does Coyle fetch?
They refuse to sell Marchand.
Is it worth trading Wotherspoon or Peake for a 3rd or 4th rounder?

That pretty much leaves Carlo.

Yeesh yep, did he give up?

Perhaps he was a 26 year old career minor leaguer for a reason.

At least we did not get another loser point. At this point just trade anyone except Pasta and McAvoy, get the best returns possible and tank the season. I am hoping we somehow find a way to move up the lottery and get Misa.

Not a lot, it must be said. Frederic's injury is horribly timed. Whether he is completely out of the picture depends on exactly what the prognosis is, but whatever it is it likely means his immediate value takes a hit. That just leaves Coyle and Carlo as players that should obviously be on the market and will still attract reasonable interest, even in down years. Peak Carlo is still worth a 1st at only 28 years old and on a good contract for 2 more years, but is there still enough belief in him out there to merit it, especially given his concussion history? A 2nd plus a little on the side might have to do. I don't think Marchand's future is set in stone yet but it still seems that moving him is unlikely. Geekie I'd keep unless the return is exceptional. Same goes for Poitras and Lohrei.

But they can only work with they have.

I've gotta better chance of winning the lottery than the B's getting a 1st rounder for either Carlo or Frederic.
You do realize other teams have scouts who are probably not as inept as the B's scouts.
There are 11\12 teams WORSE THAN BOSTON. So no they are far from worse Mtg group. Most if them are no better than Sweeney and his scouts

With this season in the virtual write-off category, the Bruins concluded a very successful homestand if one is looking for a quicker turnaround .

They played 3 close competitive games for their home fans and thankfully only secured 2 pts.

With 14 away and 8 home games left on the schedule, the Bruins are well positioned to move into the lottery position of this year's draft.

Was thinking Korpi would get the start tonight, especially after Swayman vs Toronto. Sway made a couple solid saves late to keep them in it but we didn’t get the timely one when we needed it and the game went the other way. I think Marchand has way better jump since 4 nations. Moving better, hanging on to pucks, creating/extending more plays and showing flashes of his former self. 2 good starts by this team the last couple of games but we can never get that full 60 minute effort. Brazeau reminded me of a men’s league player that gassed a 6 pack in 2 hours before an 11pm puck drop - touch and timing off like you read about. That Wotherspoon bad turnover immediately following the pasta goal was scary and he’s a liability with the puck in the d zone sometimes.
Was surprised to see Korpi did not start. Sway made some nice stops, but as you said, didn’t make the ones we needed. I don’t know how you put a guy in who gave up 4 in the previous game against an arguably lesser team when you have a serviceable backup.

Will be happy about last 2 games in late June when picking

Irritated since I went Tuesday but time for a slight retool

Give Sacco a fresh start, no contract issues Sway, and Mac & Hamps healthy

Add a couple of kids and a FA F and back on top

Bang on - I’ve been getting into draft and they can get 6 they got a perfect guy

How I feel exactly as well ~ silver lining

Kinda speaking like the seasons already over, which is fair to think cus it kinda is, but don’t usually hear players talk that way.

I love Marchy and I am absolutely pro retool but I am shocked about his words. A true captain would say that they are still in the race and evetything is possible. I can't believe that he is already waving the white flag

Brightside for tonight, at least they lost in regulation and didn’t blow a big lead.

Drafting 3rd and 4th liners higher than they should have really didn’t pay off.
Sweeney's drafting has finally caught up to him and next years team doesn't look any better. Coyle will be cooked next year .Will hit for 25-27 points this year and will regress further next year, yikes.

Marchy has given it all to the Bruins. I think with this statement he is basically giving fans the real state the team is in at this point in time. This is a pig you can't put lipstick on. Bruins fire all the great coaches. Never fire the ones that hired them.

I won’t really say Marchand is a bad captain, because realistically he was the next man up in that regard.

One thing I’ll say and no, this doesn’t mean I hate him, is the fact that he’s just too emotional at times. He’s constantly losing his marbles complaining, even in the middle of the play.

There’s a time and place for it, but when things have been going bad it’s glaring how he’s handling it. Bad penalties at bad times. (I didn’t think that penalty he got tonight was necessarily a good call, but why even put yourself in a position to get called there?)

I don’t know. I just want the captain to let his actions do the talking and not constant be palms up complaining when shit goes sideways on the ice.

He’s on hole 16 of his NHL career and I understand him not being the player he was before, but regardless, drag your team into the fight to the best of your abilities.

To some people he can do no wrong. To some people he can do no right. I’m somewhere in the middle.
I mean they are only a couple of points out of a playoff spot and he kind of demoralizes his teammates by putting up what seems to be a white flag in his comment. That looks really bad on him. It’s not like they are completely out of the picture here to be saying that. No wonder the team is mentally frail
