I won’t really say Marchand is a bad captain, because realistically he was the next man up in that regard.

One thing I’ll say and no, this doesn’t mean I hate him, is the fact that he’s just too emotional at times. He’s constantly losing his marbles complaining, even in the middle of the play.

There’s a time and place for it, but when things have been going bad it’s glaring how he’s handling it. Bad penalties at bad times. (I didn’t think that penalty he got tonight was necessarily a good call, but why even put yourself in a position to get called there?)

I don’t know. I just want the captain to let his actions do the talking and not constant be palms up complaining when shit goes sideways on the ice.

He’s on hole 16 of his NHL career and I understand him not being the player he was before, but regardless, drag your team into the fight to the best of your abilities.

To some people he can do no wrong. To some people he can do no right. I’m somewhere in the middle.

I feel that by making Marchy captain has taken away much of what his game was previously. One doesn't make the rat the captain of the ship.
When I use the word 'rat,' it is strictly complementary.

Give him Coyle's money for three years and tell him he is the Assistant Captain and 3rd line LW tasked with Lindholm to bring up a future RW prospect on their right side; just how Recchi and Bergeron brought him up in 2011.

March knows. Team tried, effort was there, but they aren't good enough. Pretty clear. Gotta sell. I just hope they can get a good team around Pasta, feel bad for him. If they can't, I'd rather see him have a chance on a contender. Want him to get a cup, but that's a convo for down the line, not right now

Skilled but too small. I'd rather we got the first.
Yup he is small ,but if deal is to Edm you dont got much choice outside him or 1st which would be a must. The 1st would need to be 2026 or 27 also, because they don't have a 2025 1st.That makes the pick more valuable though because the Oilers are good this season. The 27 pick might be best bet. That said I doubt Sweeney trades him.We shall find out soon though .

Was thinking Korpi would get the start tonight, especially after Swayman vs Toronto. Sway made a couple solid saves late to keep them in it but we didn’t get the timely one when we needed it and the game went the other way. I think Marchand has way better jump since 4 nations. Moving better, hanging on to pucks, creating/extending more plays and showing flashes of his former self. 2 good starts by this team the last couple of games but we can never get that full 60 minute effort. Brazeau reminded me of a men’s league player that gassed a 6 pack in 2 hours before an 11pm puck drop - touch and timing off like you read about. That Wotherspoon bad turnover immediately following the pasta goal was scary and he’s a liability with the puck in the d zone sometimes.

Donny and co royally screwed up this roster and mismanaged it that it looks completely broken.

It's not cohesive. No chemistry. It's just...idk what it is. But it's safe to say, during training camp we saw how "off" it was.
This Bruins roster is about as confusing as episode 1 of Severance
