Agree with this but Kakko isn’t exactly “real fast” he’s quick and shifty as **** especially when he’s making quick cuts but his skating isn’t great. The Forsberg comparisons he often gets aren’t far off though, I’d easily take him #1
He's real fast for his size IMO. I never said he was Kreider fast, he's no speedster. Yeah I love his cuts! I agree Forsberg lite.

Even for his size his speed is about average. He makes up for it with his shiftiness though, his speed will not be a problem

Idk man he looks absolutely unbelievable in the corners to me. Crosby esque. Not as unbelievably good as Sid obviously but that’s what he reminded me of.

His straight ahead speed can improve and is the easiest thing to improve. But he’s shifty he’s great on his edges and his first step is good. Not worried about his skating and you all know I’m notoriously hard on guys that don’t skate well. Love this guy nothing not to like. He’s my #1 overall if I’m shero frankly.

He is unbelievable in the corners, didn’t say he wasn’t. I’m talking about pure speed

What’s the deal with Rykov? I thought he was supposed to be amazing?
Who said that? He’s generally considered to be a good prospect with a decent shot of being a top-4 guy. Nothing amazing, but not every prospect needs to be amazing. He’s just pretty promising.

I’m still In a state of complete shock.

Absolutely stunned

The ridiculous amount of luck that this is. I’m besides myself... just blown away. “R u blown?!?! I’m blown!!!!”

I still can’t believe it. Draft with 2 franchise players and finally get a top 2 pick. Seeing that Sabre and then Blackhawk logo was amazing. Ranger win no matter who the Devils pick.

We’re watching the construction of a menace. As the league gets smaller, Gorts is collecting size with top end skill. Hughes is too good for Shero to pass up. Kakko is an unbeatable consolation. One more down year and 2020-21 can be the 2017 Yankees.

Potential juggernaut after that.

I was in the airport watching some clown live stream his TV of the draft on twitter. I caused an absolute scene when the blackhawks logo showed up as the third pick. What a day to be a fan of the New York Rangers.

Also, do we think Vally has a lot of insight what the Rangers are going to do? He seems to be bringing up Panarin at any given chance. I'm all for unloading the brink's truck on Panarin, but I have a feeling he will end up in Florida.

I feel like I am still adjusting my mind.

Seriously, when I saw that Blackhawks logo, and I knew the Rangers were walking away with Hughes or Kakko, I think I fried my brain. Or at least what's left of it.

Hate to tell you the expletives that came out of my mouth when I DIDNT see the Blackhawks logo the first time!

So reading the other thread, the results were apparently leaked. I guess that happened because this wasn't done in real time? Or how else could that happen?
If I had to guess they couldn't get away with holding 15 NHL GMs (or their delegates) hostage for an hour while they provided playoff previews for the TV audience.
