Yep, it’s not even just that he’s scoring, it’s how he’s playing overall. He looks like a legit top 6 guy. Not all perimeter stuff, he’s assertive and fully engaged all over the ice. Love to see it, he looks great.

Yeah I've seen the difference. He's hitting guys and going to the net. It's good to see. He's taken the opportunity to have a bigger role after the trades and has done a good job.

Ryan Strome and his brother finding a better culture for sure this season. New life. He should be a real good third liner next year.
If he's willing to take third liner money the rangers should be all over it. He should, as well. He obviously is a fit for the system. It would be short sighted for him to take a little more money from a team expecting him to anchor a second line (which, I contend, is what 4-5 million demands). A good third liner probably should get 3m ish. Is there a consensus on position-pay under this salary cap? In my mind is like 7-plus, 5, 3, 1 for forwards.

Georgiev is clearly intelligent and mentally tough. Amazing to see a young guy battle so well on a personal losing streak. Good character player.
His English is quite good. Did he learn it in the past year or so? Or has he been at it for a while?

Howden had a really bad game
When a guy gets like six minutes it's pretty hit or miss. He's fighting it, for sure. But I think he has learned a lot this year. He has had a ton of adversity to fight through. But he's still standing and battling. When he scored last game, maybe it was the game previous, he was hooting and hollering and the team was with him. That shows me a lot. He has a good attitude, personality, and mental fortitude. Of course he'll need some talent to hoo along with it. But I'm optimistic at this point. Above and beyond the stats and mistakes.

Starting to see that swagger in his game that's been MIA since leaving Russia. That would be a huge boost for this rebuild if he's able to maintain it relatively consistently.
I say it a lot but I see him pushing opposing players around and using his body so much better than ever. And he seems shocked when he bullies these guys. But he's a big kid and has strong legs. That's huge. And as you say, it's turning into confidence and- amazingly- some smiles.

Still a decent chance we finish bottom 5. We weren't going to lose every game

f*** finishing low. You want this team to have a losing culture?

The worst thing that can happen now is if we won the lottery.

Let's say Hughes is the real deal.

Well when he scores his first hat trick, the whole team and Quinn are going say "man we only have him because we lost and are losers. we are a culture of losers.", and then the team will finish dead last every year and lose the lottery every year until Hughes wins the cup on another team, and then we will be winners.

You are being ridiculous. Are they supposed to lose every ****ing game? They haven't lost enough lately? Go back over their last 12 games and let me know how many they won? I'll wait.

He's saying the other teams we are competing with on the race to the bottom are better at losing than us when they try to lose, and have been better at winning than us in previous seasons when they tried to win.

Now in all fairness, you did highlight they do lose a shit ton, but they needed to up their game a bit on losing.
