Buffalo has 5 games left against the likes of NJ, Ottawa and Detroit.

They'll pick up a few there.

As pathetic as Buffalo has been, the Rangers have been just as bad.
 
We win when we win and we win when we lose.

But anyway you don't want to lose them all and this is a good morale builder. Georgiev IMO is the real deal--I think Shestyorkin will be too but I don't see Georgiev as inferior at all. This guy looks like a future starter to me. Same age and this guy is capable of stealing games even with a pretty shit lineup for us. That says something.

He's got the Leafs number.

Rangers have an excuse for being this bad post deadline. Buffalo is reverting to their shitty ways. Schedule or no schedule there is no way we should be tied with them.

Georgiev is clearly intelligent and mentally tough. Amazing to see a young guy battle so well on a personal losing streak. Good character player.

How? I actually like Ottawa's prospect pool (and a huge Tkachuk fan) But they are really raw. Plus their goaltending is not gonna be very good. I don't see it.

I see the Rangers signing a couple of mid level free agents and signing them to Namestnikov-like deals. 2 or 3 year term, but overpaying a bit to keep the term down. Allows the team to have assets to trade for more picks during the next couple of deadlines.

As currently constructed, this is a bottom three team.

Yeah don't even get me wrong it's just that we can only hope the devil's, Sabres, Edmonton and Anaheim to win just so many games for the rest of the season. every time we win they have to win as well, we really don't want to be sinking or should I say climbing up the standings anymore than where we already are. We probably just blew 4th position out of the water. just saying

The 4th is gone. Let's hope the Ducks keep playing well. Anaheim is better than us so I am confident they will finish ahead of us. I know they are 3 points ahead of us but Vancouver still scares me a bit. Like some have mentioned Buffalo has a super easy schedule but we shall see what they do with it.
 
I am ok finishing bottom 3 next year but we need to see guys like Lias, Chytil, Howden, Buch, Skjei get better. They need to be part of the solution. Those guys taking steps back and us getting a top 3 slot isn't a win win situation.

I'd imagine we'll slide in at 5th or 6th. Really depends on how Anaheim plays. Buffalo is horrible but of their 8 games left, 5 are v. the Devils, Red Wings, and Senators.

Until the season ends and we know the final standings, I'm just assuming the Rangers will be drafting 2 spots lower than wherever they are on Tankathon. 1 spot for overtaking the stupidface Oilers/Sabres, 1 spot for a team "below" us winning a lottery like last year.
