Leafs are pathetic. Haven't even been to a Cup Finals since 1967, let alone WIN a cup. At least the Rangers have been there a bunch of times and won a Cup in the expansion era. I hope their Cup drought is double what ours was. Just goes to show how RIGGED the original 6 era was in favor of the Habs and Leafs. Leafs have been garbage since NHL expansion.
 
It was time for a win and it happens - Goergiev was simply amazing in the highlights.
I thought Lias had one of his best game of this season and some grade A chances he barely missed on a chance.
Pionk`s defense was not great at some situations last night. :)

Didn't get to mention this last night, but I wasn't all too impressed with Nylander. The speed and skill is evident, but he's a player that is a great complement to a top player, rather than the driver of a line. He's similar to his father in that way. I would consider dealing Skjei for him, but I wouldn't add much. There will be better targets out there for a trade.

My take away from watching him this season is that he seems like the ranger 1st liner of old. Talented but not really THE guy
 
I wouldn’t want any of leafs after watching last night
Out quick in playoffs
Once defense turns there backs to get puck in corner it is easy to pin them in zone Bruins will eat them alive
 
Leafs should have went all in this year. Big contracts kick in next season. Gardiner will be gone. They will need to move at least another of their good forwards.
Liljegren is going to be a bust.
It's hilarious that their fans shit on every proposed trade that would have improved their defense. Instead, they put their money on JAKE MUZZIN.....JAKE MUZZIN! On top of that, their best D is almost exclusively focused on putting up numbers.
I do like some of their players, but that team has the potential to turn into a complete shit show.

As we get deeper into March, the bitch complaining to lose every single game has become exhaustingly stupid. Too many punchable comments here.

We are bad - but not that bad. 5 ov bad? Probably not. I’ll gladly take Top 3 odds of the 7 ov spot. Maybe it’s the 7 ov slot that bangs that lottery win anyway.

Happy to have a quality W against Toronto, and understand more points are likely to come in April.

And I still have a deep yearning to knock some of you insufferable complainers into tomorrow.

Did anybody bring up the subtle Matthews slew foot on Tony in the Game thread ? It was a dirty low ball Crosbylike type play IMO . Hope he gets retribution next season .

They played like garbage for most of the game, and the only reason they won was because of the goalie. If there is any game they didn't deserve the W it was this one.

There’s a difference between playing like garbage and lacking talent. Plenty of Rangers gave them trouble besides Georgiev. The shot differential only took a nosedive after the Rangers scored. Andersson and Lemieux were a pain in the ass. It’s not guys just dicking around like the Sabres.
