Jiggy I watched that and the entire bar I was at looked at each other and asked if Green was just used as a projectile to knock down Rudolph. I have never seen a 315 pound man have less ability to anchor than Green. It's also crazy they haven't tried him at guard, but after seeing that how can you even think about playing him? He's going to get a QB killed.
As I’ve been saying, he looks weak. Like he’s just a chubby dude that got by on skill in college.

Benton is what this team has been craving since Hampton retired. Benton has potential to be better than that, I think. I was more of a Mazi Smith fan, but there is absolutely no way I would have spent a first round pick on him. Khan and Weidl drafted a bunch of ballers. Herbig absolutely blew me away. The speed he has to get to the QB is absolutely wild.

He didn't even get by with skill in college. He was brought in as a DL. They moved him to OL because he was so bad at DL.

Quick first half impressions:
-KP looks like a vet. Smooth command that drive. Exciting times if this is him all year.
-Both DJ and Pickens looked great. Pickens with a great juke to score. He could be a double digit TD guy no doubt.
-Kwon Alexander was everywhere. He wants to be a starter and it showed.
-Austin and McFarland have great speed. Like to see them utilized.

-Green needs a new profession.

Yeah Kwon Alexander looked awesome. I’m cautiously optimistic about the ILB situation this year. I think we may actually see one of them force a turnover this year.

Man, some of the performances last night got me jacked up for this season.

They have amassed a really talented young team.

I just realized Fitz is only 26… I thought he was 28 or 29 for some reason.
Tomlin isn’t known for getting the most out of the talent around him, so we’ll see if he can finally figure out.

Canada has so many weapons at his disposal and he has to make some big leaps as an OC to utilize them properly.

I have my doubts he will max out the talents of unique guys like Washington, Heyward and Austin, but I’ll be happy to be wrong.

Not that I think PFF is an absolute authority, but I listened to their AFC North preview podcast this week. They raved about the weapons the Steelers have on offense and suggested that with a Kyle Shanahan type they could be a top 5-10 offense. They, like most of us, are deeply skeptical of Canada.

He’s put up some of the worst historical offensive numbers this franchise has seen since 1990, so it’s not like we are being pessimistic without evidence.

I saw a tweet by Dulac that if Canada doesn’t do well he’s gone this year.

So whatever. I hope he doesn’t hold them back.

He definitely is out of excuses.

And yet even the great Shanahan offensive mind wasn’t winning games without Jimmy G.
If KP who has a ton of say about the offense takes the same throws he had last night which where there last season instead of taking the dump off they will be fine. He is film rat and a hard worker

Mark Madden got frozen out of Pitt football by Narduzzi and has held a grudge against anything Pitt ever since. It’s why he hates Pickett.

Tbf, the way that tweet is worded, I have to agree with Madden's response.

Of course Pickett isn't better at his job than Madden *thinks* he is at his. Patrick Mahomes isn't as good at his job as Madden *thinks* he is at his.

He's got that almost ice skating crossover way of turning the corner like James Harrison did.

Green makes Sean Mahan look like a hall of famer. Easily the worst OL I've ever seen on the Steelers.

Green doesn't look like he belongs in the NFL. He sticks out every single play.

A Kyle Shanahan type would do unbelievably well with this current offense. It's built for a WC type of style.

Green should have been cut long ago, so now it’s just getting really embarrassing for the org.

Even Roth is chiming in on his podcast about the org making a mistake, and I suspect no one would know better than him when it comes to a C.

The fullback stuff is so f***ing stupid that I just read a Madden article about it and agreed with everything he wrote.

Sometimes you miss on guys and it serves no purpose to keep pretending your scouts/coaches didn’t f*** one up.

I honestly feel bad for the guy, but when he whiffs on another block or literally gets thrown at his QB, KP, MR or MT could get seriously hurt.

So C, G, and now FB aren't working for Green? Maybe it's just too much blocking for him. Time to give him the rock! Fridge 2.0 baybeeeee!

Did they even try him at FB in that game? I thought he was all C.

*pause* Am I going mad, or was he not quite this glaringly awful when put at G last offseason?

Not that it really matters. He's surely done after that.

You would think so. It was almost like, "what can I do to get cut in one series?"

Oh.

I don't watch preseason. I saw people complaining about him and thought he was a FB now. Didn't realize they were still trying to make him an OL. If they're not even seeing how it would go in a preseason game at FB, it's probably best to just cut him now.
