If a Tomlin coordinator ever gets an interview for a head coaching position I'll stop with their coordinators are awful, is this Tomlin or the people above him hiring these guys

The difference would be that Trubisky is more aggressive and will be willing to make a mistake to go for a big play, when it doesn't seem like Pickett is willing to do that.

The team has absolutely ruined Pickett's confidence at this point. He's playing scared, he's playing to not turn the ball over.

Maybe. But he'll probably throw 2-3 picks doing that, which would completely doom the team.

Literally a few pages ago.

The reality is that a lot of the people criticizing Pickett in here are picking nonsensical things to criticize him for. You pointing at that throw to Warren as an example of Pickett "missing open receivers" is nonsensical and shows a fundamental lack of understanding of the sport.

There are clearly things to criticize Pickett for. Him backing up into a sack on a recent drive is an example of that. Him missing that throw to DJ when he was open was an example of that. Him not being able to go quicker over his options was an example of that. A play being countered because of a moronic play design by Canada isn't one of those.

People wouldn't be "defending" Pickett in here if the people criticizing Pickett weren't just spewing nonsense to criticize him over. That doesn't mean any criticism of him is nonsense, but there is plenty of nonsense being thrown at him that just isn't reasonable whatsoever.
"Pickett just needs to make a play." Whoa! Tone it down! If this is truly what you think counts as criticism, well, I get why you are so defensive about people blaming the QB for the QB playing like shit.

And you ignored the play I brought up last week in which DJ is immediately open right in front of where Pickett is staring down Warren, and DJ never even gets a glance because Pickett was so set on forcing a throw to Warren in the flat. All Pickett had to do was raise his gaze. Pickett said he just missed him after the game, so don't bother claiming that DJ was just window dressing on that one. He does this all the time. I was at the game last week and could frequently see him staring the primary down the entire play while other options are open. Pickett is holding the offense back, even the shitty offense that is already being held back by Canada. I have not seen a damn thing from Pickett to make me think he is the guy. I would still like to hear what anyone thinks he does well.

Do you college count cause Austin is on a list for Sryacuse job

I actually laughed at the dump off this game to Warren 3 open wr just like the greenbay last week with DJ

No I don't believe so.

Actually he did throw it for about 12 yards once, it was on that 1st and 15 play.

Sounds about right.

Consistent with my belief that Pickett's ribs are still hampering him and they're designing a short passing game to prevent him from not doing too much.

Which does also lead me to wonder why Trubisky isn't it.

Also just a brutal difference out there on how to insulate a QB going on. Cleveland aren't relying on DTR at all, but they're making things work. Steelers... not so much.

If/when Pickett ends up a bust, the Steelers are going to become the prime example of "how to not develop a QB".

His confidence is completely shot at this point and he's just playing to not turn the ball over. He already has flaws as a QB that limits him, but him being scared to make a mistake is making him an even less effective QB. They're playing to try to maintain mediocrity and they're trying to utilize Pickett to achieve that, not trying to develop Pickett into a QB that they could actually win a Super Bowl with.
