Honestly even though I don't think Pickett is to blame for their awful performance so far today, I'd still look at going to Trubisky in the 2nd half. The reality is that this team is going to need to take some gambles to put together any sort of offensive drives and I think Pickett has been beaten into playing too conservatively at this point.
34 passing yards in a half is downright unacceptable, regardless of circumstances around it. They'll probably run the risk of turning the ball over with Trubisky's aggressive play, but you sure as hell know they're not going to win this game by playing it safe.
Has Pickett even thrown it at a target deeper than 10 yards today?
I would argue the field goal did anyway. This offense isn’t scoring today and the Browns just know as long as they don’t turn the ball over they’re fine.A TD there would have ended it.
The FF leads to GW drive for Kp where Boswell kicks a walk off*TJ Watt gets 1 INT, 1 FF, and 1 TD in the second half. Steelers win 16-10*
Yinzers: Wow Mike Tomlin is such a great coach he just keeps winning!
Yeah Pickett is THE problemI like KP but I would not be against a QB change even though it likely doesn’t make a difference
It doesn't make a difference. Mitch Trubisky ends up with happy feet, getting swarmed in the pocket and/or having to scramble around. Almost like there's a common denominator
He’s part of the problem. Coaching is part of the problem. If both are failing you get what you get todayYeah Pickett is THE problem
