KP loves doing that. It never works. Step up in the pocket.
They need to just practice stepping up in the pocket drills into his head so his reflex to spin backwards out of the pocket leaves his muscle memory.

He has an open lane to run for the first down if he had simply stepped up into the pocket and to the right.

I'm literally explaining to you the concept and you're ignoring it to just shit on Pickett.

That play was 10000% the Browns countering a bad play design by Canada. Saying Pickett missed open targets because of a stupid play call by Canada is just exposing you don't understand the difference between a play design issue and a QB issue.
Sure. Pickett is awesome. Sees the field, moves around the pocket, never misses easy throws.

All you QB experts go outside with 3 250-270lb friends and take 3 steps back and let them run free right at you let's see your pocket awareness

What’s he supposed to do there? OL has been getting bullied in pass protection. You are pounding the ball. This coaching staff are a bunch of dummies
You're supposed to step into the pressure. He would have bought some time. Instead he curled back into the edge rushers, while taking his eyes off the field, because he has no brain.

I mean 5 hfboards posters would get smoked by the worst AHL team but comparing professional athletes to random people is bizarre.

Uh huh. And you can't see a QB who sucks when he is right there sucking.

Again, we literally discussed this yesterday. Pickett clearly has issues, everyone knows that. You pointing at that play to say he has an issue just shows you're clueless about what you're talking about.

There weren't "open receivers" on that play. That play was effectively a running play called by Canada that was easily countered by the Browns. That's what happened on that play. The concept of that play is that the receivers pull the DBs away from the line to open up a pathway for Warren to gain some speed and get some yards. The Browns obviously countered it because the Steelers offense is predictable, and the decoy receivers they sent up were not even in the play.

I feel like there are some misunderstanding of football fundamentals in this thread. There is a play called by the OC, the QB looks to make that play, if it's not available, he looks elsewhere (plays have 2nd and third options usually). However, Pickett literally has less than two seconds to make a play, so he's forcing the ball to the primary option (not ideal), and doesn't have time to look at the 2nd and third options (extremely not ideal). When a QB does not have time, the OC needs to call plays to keep the defense honest, Canada is not doing that.

Like the 8th post you’ve made that Pickett isn’t to blame for anything. This is great. Go Eagles.
