Well the Steelers saw something in him, hence why they used a 1st round pick on him.

They used a 1st rounder on a QB only to tell him "we need you to play to not turn the ball over so we can maintain Tomlin's winning record". Seems like a pretty downright moronic way to develop a QB to me.

The Steelers let Pickett play aggressively for like 4 games to start his NFL career, then they went "we want to win now and can't tolerate your growing pains, so you need to become a safe QB that just doesn't lose us games". That's a horrendous way to develop your QBs. If they weren't willing to tolerate growing pains and letting Pickett discover what does and doesn't work in the NFL, they never should have drafted a QB in the first place.
So nothing, then. You are just banking on the idea that the Steelers have ruined him.

I don’t understand how that’s the first read on any play. Let alone a 3rd down call that needs 4 yards.

Najee has 0 speed and essentially needs to gain 6 yards because of where the ball is thrown.

Like wtf is this?

They're gonna have to put receiver on the draft list (hopefully after lineman) sooner than they thought they would have to, cause none of these receivers are gonna sign new deals here.

1) Why the hell are they paying Trubisky so much to sit on the bench when Pickett is floundering so much? If you don't trust him to come in at this point, why give him that money?

2) Even if you don't trust Pickett, you have to ask him to get that ball over the target line unless you're running a play that distracts the CB from your short out. That wasn't it.

3) Actually there is no 3, but damnit is the predictability of this so bloody annoying

So we rely on what they saw on him when they drafted him, but we ignore the fact they see him every day and they are very clearly coaching based on their perception of his ability. Ok.

You really don't seem to have any understanding of football.
Nice non sequitur. I asked you to tell me what you see in Pickett to think he is the guy. You gave me absolutely nothing. The best you could do is say the Steelers saw something in him, the same Steelers who according to you are holding him back because they are afraid of him throwing. Your entire response was to rip the Steelers. Not a damn thing about what Pickett does well or why anyone should think he deserves more responsibility. So yeah, go ahead and rip on my understanding of football. Still doesn't mean you gave an actual answer to a relatively simple question. Tell me what Pickett does well, if you can. If you can't, I think that says it all.
