After being badgered by a few people I have decided to be your commissioner once again.

WrestleMania season is upon us and I think 1 week out is a great time to begin the sign up phase. Ideally we would be ready to go on Friday but I understand that is short notice. My hope is we are all (mostly) old hands at this by now, so hopefully we can have a faster process.

GM Roster is below. I will post rule refreshers later tonight and be going through some info on the past drafts for any amendments.

HF All-Time Wrestling Draft XI:
1. HandsomeHollywood
2. CHgoalie27
3. MVP of West Hollywd
4. les Habs
5. JackSlater
6. Habsrule
7. Sheppy
8. Kaner9
9. GKJ
10. braninal84
11. Burkiemaniq
12. GugsHardy

Rules:
1. One wrestler, all gimmicks. i.e If you pick Mick Foley, you get all of his gimmicks (Mankind, Dude Love, Cactus Jack, etc)

2. The goal is to make the best card possible with your roster and secure the most votes from others round-to-round.

3. This will be 25 rounds. If you want to complete your card with unpicked wrestlers, there will be a free agency phase. More rounds of the official draft will be added if the majority of GMs are still picking.

2022 amendment, with the slow pace and several skipped picks, the 2022 draft will be 20 rounds.

4. There will be a tournament to determine the winner.

5. You can pick a tag team but you have to forfeit your upcoming pick to do so. You must also use them as a team on your card. E.g. Two Man Power Trip (Stone Cold & HHH would have to be used together, not as singles wrestlers).

5. b) You may select a 3 man tag team provided they have been explicitly referred to as a 3-man tag team as per the classic 3 man team rule. To select a 3-man team, you must forfeit your subsequent two draft picks.

6. There will be an 8-hour limit for every pick. (clock stops between 12AM and 8AM EST). Picks can still be made when the clock is stopped if it is your turn, however the user after you does not have their clock start until the designated times.

7. Trades are allowed. Picks can be traded. Trades should be kept between two GMs at a time.

8. You must PM the poster after you once you've made your pick.

Note; tagging a GM after-the-fact in an edit does not send that GM a notification. A PM must be sent.

9. This is a snake draft.

10. Match types count as picks and they are limited

11. Celebrities who have been involved with wrestling are fair game. They must have appeared in wrestling. Only celebrities who have wrestled are eligible to be booked as wrestlers however. Otherwise they can be booked in non wrestling roles.

2022 amendment: fictional wrestlers are draft-eligible.

12. Gifs, YouTube clips or images of wrestlers drafted are allowed, but picks must include the typed out name of the wrestler chosen.

13. Do not mention undrafted wrestlers in the discussion threads until the tournament begins.

“Well, well, well. The prodigal son returns and The Body gets a PM. Well rest assured ‘Handsome’ ‘Hollywood’, I’m not here to take over your draft. I ran the great state of Minnesota, so running your pipsqueak operation would be a big step down. No, I’m here to once again rule the All-Time Wrestling Draft. Of course, being a real movie star I don’t need to use the name ‘Hollywood’. Then again, much like ‘Handome’, ‘The Body’ wouldn’t have suited you either.”

One thing I’d suggest, is I think we should shorten the draft in some form. At least the time. I don’t know that we need 25 rounds, but I’m cool with that part. I think we get to a certain point and I’m not sure how much the order matters, though.

I would agree for a big draft, but if it stays at 11 GMs I think 25 rounds plus free agency is fine. In the OP it talks about 20 rounds by the 2022 draft, and 20 would also be fine with me as well even though there would still be significant value for people to gobble up when free agency starts.

I think it should be formalized that the last day of free agency is the final day for picks.

I think a hard cap at 25 rounds is good. You can stop picking before then and usually by round 20 there's usually half picking or less.

Last day of free agency is last day for picks. No more random picks on the days between free agency ending and cards being due.

I will update the OP.

Do you have any appetite for shortening the clock from 8 to 6 hours? Or even removing the overnight clock stoppage? I am in favour of those but they always seem unpopular.

shortening the clock, definitely. the first round or two we don't really use it anyways. overnight clock, depends on where everyone is. I am in the ATD for hockey and had multiple picks come up overnight and that was annoying.
