The coaching staff has had issues with Dotson’s attitude for some time, so this isn’t shocking.

Here’s what DK said about Dotson in June of 2021:
Add moats who has said Dotson never took care of his body never really did ice baths or treatments and barely beat out Green last year. Plus both of KP concussions were on Dotson he is on borrowed time

Now we just have to see if he can play in the NFL.

I have little doubt he can play in the NFL with his speed, hands and route tree.

Can Canada get the ball in his hands enough though?

He isn’t going to be someone who plays on the outside because he’s just not very good at battle ball.

He’s going to win in space and be a home run hitter, I assume from the slot.

I’m not expecting some big 1000 yard season, but I am expecting some big plays and making this offense more explosive.

I'd point out the rep Peterson played against Austin had Austin on the outside. I think you'll see him there with the idea that he can absolutely burn 95% of CBs in this league and that sticking him on deep outside routes will force safeties to cover him. You might never throw him the ball if you see the safety there, but if his pace can attract double teams you've got an advantage on the other side of the field.

If the safety doesn't cover then I think a lot of CBs will be forced to cheat to keep up. Which they'll get away with often enough, but not all the time.

Austin will play all 3 spots Robinson is the big slot receiver they wanted Claypool for
They want GP to develop has a route runner so they all can line up every where
Austin will be ghe sweep screen guy
Foster said you worry about tendency’s based on packages because Heyward and boykins playing space blockers meant sweep or toss

Pre pare for a ton of this

I don't want to rush Jones into a position if he's not ready but I'm really seeing some major red flags from Dotson that makes me want to just outright cut him right now. His attitude plus performance makes me really concerned with him even being in the locker room.

Seumalo will take over for Dotson. Did you mix him up with Moore?

Both Green and Dotson will be waived. Some other team will pick them up where their skills fit better. I think both could be good offensive linemen, but they don't fit in what they are trying to do here right now. I also think both have mopey attitudes from what I have been reading. No pro athlete should say "it is what it is" when referring to their position on the team.

We have our front 5 at least. I think Moore could overtake Chuks if Jones is ready. I really like our RB/WR/TE depth. I'm still very hesitant about our linebackers.

I'm obviously a draft nerd, but looking ahead to 2024, following Arizona and Houston will be interesting. Both could be in the basement again, and if so, Arizona would get a couple of top 5 picks. Interesting scenario - if they get number 1, they will pick Caleb Williams. They'd be insane not to. That means Kyler Murray is on the market and I'd imagine he'd fetch a ransom. With a poor season, it's going to be a wild draft for Arizona.

This draft has more 6'7/6'8 OT's than I even knew existed in the NCAA.

Either I'm reading Green's quotes wrong or I think you're being a bit harsh there. Green seems to be saying "it is what it is" about his past in the NFL, not what where he is. I don't blame him if he wants to sound mopey about his first two years in the NFL, drafting a Guard and sticking him right in at Centre as a rookie is pretty much straight up negligence. Right now he seems to know where he's at and happy he's got a lot more advantages going for him in experience, veterans to learn from, and a coach that doesn't suck.

Some videos breaking down Mark Robinson have been popping up on my Youtube. If this guy can learn how to tackle, he thinks the LB position very naturally. He take a misstep here and there, but I think he absolutely has starter capability. Many times he had guys dead to rights, and he just missed the tackle (particularly the game he played against the Browns). He could have had 3-4 TFLs for big yardage.

The Steelers landing Patrick Petersen may be the most important move they have made in the last 10 years if he can groom this CB room and fix a problem we have had for a long time. I REALLY love Pat P. I hope he's one of these guys that sticks around the organization after his career is over.

I thought he was a good tackler but poor in coverage ?
He can tackle and he can really lay the lumber, but he does whiff sometimes. If he could limit the whiffs, I think he has a real good feel for the LB position. He had a particularly tough day tackling the game he played against the Browns. He could have easily had 20-30 yards TFL and he just couldn't wrap up.

He takes a misstep here and there, but he has the speed to recover. I don't think we will ever see him really drop into coverage. I think they should try him at OLB. He has some burst.

Robinson and Herbig inside makes some sense to me down the road. Herbig can cover.

Some of his issues with what you’re describing may be instinctive. It’s hard to coach how to take proper angles. Some guys just don’t grasp it.

He has a much better feel for run plays v. pass plays, and a lot of that I think is because he was a RB, so he gets how RBs think. I think he's moldable. To be honest, Bush put himself WAY further out of position from what I have witnessed than Robinson ever has and Bush was a 1st round pick.

I saw the same video, Robinson read the play and should've tagged Watson for a big sack but he went for the hit over the tackle. It was a good read though.

Hyped for this season. Many guys to track this year.

Can one of you link the video?

I do think looking for the hit over the safe tackle sounds like what I remember of Robinson.
