CA3 is turning heads at camp. This is a really, really good thing.

Question: who is the NBA team of choice in The Pitt? geographically I know your closest options are the Sixers and Cavs, which I know are both cities you have friction with in other sports.

I got curious after watching The Fish that Saved Pittsburgh and I’m an ABA fan. RIP Condors.

The Raptors and 6ers are equidistant to Pittsburgh. Pittsburghers really aren't into basketball. We cheer for Pitt, and even that has kind of waned off since the Big East broke up.

I heard him on the radio about a month ago and he didn’t sound good. But he always loved working and talking with people.

A true true icon. Stan! Love the show. RIP Stan.

That is a Shame I liked Stan a lot But Father Time is still undefeated ! & his pain & suffering is over

RIP Stan, in a city full of awful sports talk hosts, you were one of the solid ones.

He allegedly had to get his foot amputated a few months ago and was just in terrible shape.

Yeah, that's a shame about Stan. I've been listening and watching him in Pittsburgh sports media my entire life. Lot's of memories as a kid watching him host SportsBeat with Guy etc. He's just always been there. It feels weird knowing he's gone. He definitely was/is an iconic Pittsburgh sports figure as far as media goes.

R.I.P.

Stan, Guy, love the show.

One of the few Pittsburgh sport's media people that I liked.

If he was in pain, glad he passed and his suffering is over.

Grew up watching him on KBL with Guy Junker on Sportsbeat.

That’s all that was on the channel… Sportsbeat before the game, Pens game, post game show, and it went off line until the next game.

I think Fox sports bought KBL and turned it into 24/7 sports.

I enjoyed Stan because he was an old school reporter in every way. Fact based and his opinions were always incredibly well thought out and educated - the complete antithesis of sports media today. I remember KBL trying to do a 3 person crew with Lange, Steigerwald, and Savran. It just didn't work, unfortunately. I always gave Stan credit for standing by Guy after his arrest and Sportsbeat was getting bombarded with crank calls. So long to one of the classiest sports media members in Pittsburgh.

Yeah man... This one sucks. Not much else to say that hasn't already been said. He will be missed. Was one of the bright spots of Pittsburgh sports media.

Getting older sucks.

You know when you're getting old when you talk about the 2000's Steelers like your parents talked about the 70's Steelers. Then you realize, when they were talking about the 70's Steelers in the 90's, we are now doing the same in the 2020's.

I go to Cleveland when I want to catch up with NBA and watch live, so I kind of adopted Cavs...

I first heard Stan on WTAE when his show followed Myron's and along with Bruce Keiden on KQV they were the end to shtick free sports radio in Pgh. Then the Rocco Pendolas and Maddens came along.

If you didn't hear Pendola back then you missed out. He seemed to be on blow a lot of the time.

So the 4th ILB right now is a guy named Tanner Muse. Was a college safety, drafted in the 3rd round by the Raiders. 6'2 230 pounds at the combine - no idea what he is now. Ran a 4.41. Jumped 35 inches. 20 reps on the bench. He had a toe injury that sidelined him quite a bit in Oakland, but when he did play, he was taking starter reps.

Kenny had a media scrum. Interesting that Minkah sits in the QB room with him. What a teammate.

I think what Pickett did with absolutely no first team reps in camp or practice, and then was thrown into a game was amazing. I wasn't the biggest Pickett fan at Pitt, but I think he did the absolute most he could have with the situation given last year.

Big ol' article in The Athletic today with Canada saying his marching orders from above are to run the ball a ton.
