I told everyone…some people think Jones will be still be annointed because of draft status but Moore will likely be starting week one barring injury…

This trade just keeps looking better and better — can’t believe Khan pulled it off.

Claypool wants to do the TikToks, get the followers, do the dances, do the celebrations, but doesn't want to do a single thing to be a good teammate and consistent football player. His physical attributes are undeniable but his talent is average at best. He's 6'4 and plays like he's 6'0.

The big difference between JuJu and Claypool to me always was when the lights turned on, you're going to get JuJu's best. He's going to be prepared, he's going to play tough, and he's a good teammate. We f***in fleeced the Bears. Now we just have to hope Porter develops.

Even if Porter is a complete bust, it was a great trade.
Yeah, JPJ becoming a bust would just be a bad evaluation on the Steelers end. It doesn't change the fact that the value of that pick and the kind of player you could have gotten with it was far greater than Claypool's real value.

Troy talked about this team getting back to high character "steelers guys".. This is one of the biggest reasons I'm hyped about the upcoming season.

There is a lot being talked about that I like right now. The team getting back to running the football. The seem to really be into the idea of a fullback from some of the things I'm reading.

I guess the QB helmet tech is going to be across the league...

Come again? You're the offensive coordinator!

Even during the Killer B's, starting slow was a common complaint. Which was then better understood after a few comments from Tomlin about probing and "easing in" (which confirmed that SB comment wasn't just typical coach throwaway BS).

Tomlin's DNA isn't to come out and hit your opponent in the mouth. It's to feel them out, maybe let them punch themselves out, and try to outlast them in the later rounds.

People just didn't see the similarities from Haley to Fitchner to Canada and instead blamed it on an aging Ben. And they weren't listening to Tomlin telling us exactly who he is all those years.

I’m biased because I think very little of him but Canada comes off like he has such a loser attitude in every interview. Maybe he doesn’t speak naturally but always seems like he’s giving some semi-sarcastic reply or making an excuse, even if some excuses are legit.

I don't blame him given how things are going here but unless he's very different with the players, I doubt he's helping himself.

RIP Clark Haggans
Sad to hear. He was that other pass rusher for a while, next to a prime Joey Porter. He was a solid role player during his time here.

He also drew the controversial holding call in Super Bowl XL against Seattle that I felt swung the momentum of the game back in the Steelers favor. Without that call, it would have been 1st and goal from the 1-yard line for Seattle, with the Steelers clinging to a 14-10 lead and around 12 minutes left in the 4th quarter. It was certainly a big play and call. It made it 1st and 20 and Casey Hampton got a sack on the next play to make it 2nd and 25. Seattle did a 7-yard run to make it 3rd and 18, and that's when Hasselbeck, instead of checking it down on 3rd and 18 and taking the field goal to cut the Steelers lead to 14-13, instead forced an awful throw that was picked off by Ike Taylor. We Steelers fans get on Ike for his all-time bad hands, but he picked a good time to hang onto one. The Steelers got the ball and hit the trick passing play from Randle El to Hines Ward just a few plays after the pick, and that was pretty much the dagger. The first Steelers Super Bowl win of my lifetime. A part of that is now gone with Haggans passing. I believe he's the first player from that Super Bowl XL team to pass away. RIP.
