Apparently Corey Trice has been looking pretty good as well. If he and Porter Jr. end up working out that would be amazing.
Trice didn't slip because of ability...he slipped because he's been hurt every year since high school. I really hope he can find some health here. Hitting on a 7th round pick would really help the cause, especially with this draft because the first 4 picks I think are home runs.

Where are youse getting your news from?
I get stuff from youtube because the algorithm puts Steelers stuff all over my page. Steelers dump a ton of stuff on their page.

Nice to see Porter Jr. and Broderick getting snaps with the starters this early in the process. I think it bodes well for them potentially being week 1 starters... not sure why we didn't do this last year with Pickett. Was my main criticism of Tomlin last year, if the leash on Mitch was so short (3.5 games), then why did Kenny get no reps with the starters all throughout OTA's and training camp?

I think I would prefer Chuks at RT based on their play last year, but competition is always good and if it pushes both guys, I'm, all for it.

Steelers Depot and then Nick Farabaugh on Twitter always seem to be good follows around camp time.

I liked their story on Peterson going up against Austin in practice with no idea what to expect.

And speaking of which, apparently Peterson is also taking some reps in the slot in practice.

Patrick Peterson is just awesome to listen to in general. We’ll see how much he has left in the tank, but I don’t know if there’s a better mentor for these young corners.

He is a very good speaker. I like how he embraces the mentor role as well. A lot of veterans can be bitter and not want bothered with mentoring the younger players.

Patrick Peteresen is the guy this secondary has been craving for since Haden left. The leg up PP gives being present for these young corners is massive. He's a big corner, and we have big corners. I love his attitude, I love how open he is, and I think he's going to be an outstanding addition here. I'm hoping he has 2-3 years left.

Mike McDaniels had a camera installed on the side of Tua's helmet for training camp so he can actually see what Tua sees. Interesting plan, I think.

His hands are atrocious.
Thats so weird. Everything I've read or heard is that his hands are fine.

The issue I kept hearing in his first go around was that he was basically Beau Bennett injury wise.

I don’t see that working like it’s exactly what Tua sees. Your eyes move independently of your head. His head could be toward the right on a drop back, but he’s looking straight.

I guess he could go into the film room WITH Tua and freeze frame it and ask where he was actually looking.

Then give any advice on what he sees???

I saw that Dotson apparently got benched at OTAs for false starting during drills. He’s handling being replaced about as poorly as you possibly can.

The coaching staff has had issues with Dotson’s attitude for some time, so this isn’t shocking.

Here’s what DK said about Dotson in June of 2021:

"The Steelers coaches are plenty angry with Dotson over his not having done anything [over the offseason]… And the reason the Steelers brought Trai Turner in for that first visit a week before David DeCastro was released had nothing to do with DeCastro; it had everything to do with Dotson… It was just assumed – I really feel this – by almost everybody, that Dotson had this thing locked up. Well, guess what? Dotson apparently thought the same and responded accordingly."

He dropped in the draft because of his drops. THat may have gotten better since he has been out of the league, but he's definitely a low risk, high reward guy if he can catch the ball and stay healthy.

Dotson and Green have both responded like shit to getting pressed by the coaching staff. "It is what it is." What pro athlete says that to getting demoted or benched? Green is apparently back at center, a position he said he hated playing.

Quinn Meinerz was the right pick then and he's the right pick now.
